Guangzhou is a thriving metropolis located in the Guangdong Province in Southern China. Known for its cultural allure and artistic fair, the city is a popular travel destination in China where you would come across rare yet scintillating travel experiences. If you are planning to visit China and thinking about visiting this vibrant city, here’s how you plan your tour.

Best times to visit Guangzhou

The city and the region boast a subtropical monsoon climate that is usually warm and pleasant all year round. Travellers should consider visiting here during autumn or spring to experience the best of what the city has to offer.  These seasons will span between September to December and March to May.

Getting around

You can reach Guangzhou directly from many of the major cities around the globe. However, once you are inside the city, the most convenient way to get around from your accommodation or between attractions is the metro. The well-maintained Guangzhou metro system is built to connect many of the city’s popular attractions and prominent hotspots and using it is also very cost effective. For added convenience, you could use a taxi which is readily available to you anywhere anytime in the city.

What to see

The modern metropolis offers its visitors plenty to see and explore - here are some of such places you should consider visiting: Canton Tower, a symbol of modern Guangzhou, history enthusiasts should visit the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall which offers insights into the region's vibrant past. To unwind amidst nature’s cradle, Yuexiu Park, the largest park in the city, provides a tranquil escape with its beautiful lakes and hills. To explore the city like a local, visit its many markets, and bustling streets to get the true taste of Guangzhou.

Where to stay

There are plenty of Guangzhou accommodation options to consider. However, if you enjoy the freedom and a home-like stay, consider serviced apartments like Springdale Serviced Residence Guangzhou.
