Quy Nhon is a cosy coastal town set by the seas of Vietnam and is an amazing palace to go to for a lovely old holiday.

About Quy Nhon

Located right in between Hoi An and Nha Trang, this is a coastal town that is Vietnam’s undiscovered gem. This place has mountains, beaches, rice fields and ancient ruins that belong to the Champa Kingdom. If you like a beach holiday with a little bit of authentic local history attached to it, a Quy Nhon resort the likes of Avani Quy Nhon Resort is the best place for you to stay at and explore the area.

Flying to Quy Nhon

If you want to get to a holiday destination and have some amazing aerial views even before you get to the place, flying to the area is a great idea. If you are not from Vietnam and are visiting the place from a foreign country you will have to first get to Ho Chi Minh city and then fly from there. You will find that there are about nine direct flights from the main city on a daily basis and according to your timing and the time you get to the city you can book your flight. The airport that will get you to the place is located about 40 kilometres away from the city and was converted to be an airport in the year 1966. Back in the day, the airport used to be an old American airbase. Once you land, you will be able to hail yourself a taxi from a wide range of taxi companies that can be found right outside the arrival gate. The trip to your resort or hotel in Quy Nhon would cost you about $9 to $20 depending on what kind of car you hire. If you want to keep your travel costs low during your holiday here you can also get yourself onto a shuttle bus which would cost just two dollars per person.

Boarding the train

The Quy Nhon railway station can be found about 15 kilometres from the express line and gets one train a day from Ho Chi Minh city. This train is an overnight ride that takes about 12 hours. There are shorter trains you can get on to get to the city sooner, so rad up well ahead of your trip to find the best and fastest way to get to Quy Nhon. Most of the people opt to take the long train journeys as the views that you will get during the trip is amazing and is an experience in itself. Thus, if you have some time on your hands during a holiday and can afford to spend a few extra hours on a train, do so.

Going there on a bus

The main bus stand in Quy Nhon can be found in the South of the city and you will also find that there are many bus companies which operate and take you to and from the surrounding areas. This is considered to be one of the lower-cost travel options for people who are holidaying on a budget but you must keep in mind that by saving cash you will be spending more time on the road.

Hiring yourself a vehicle

If comfort is the utmost thing you value while on holiday, then getting yourself a private car from one of the nearby cities and riding into Quy Nhon is one of the best things you can do. You will have all the luxury and comfort along with the freedom of stopping the vehicle wherever and whenever you want if you choose to hire yourself one during your trip to Quy Nhon.
