Planning a vacation for it to turn out perfectly and for everyone to have a great time might be a lot of pressure and if you want to know how to avoid disappointment during your next Maldives holiday, read on.

The length of your holiday

When you are planning for a holiday you wouldn't think of a short stay at first, but as the saying goes, too much of anything is never a good idea. Therefore, you might want to make sure that your Maldives vacation lasts just the right amount of days and not a day too long. The Maldives can be explored in a matter of days and it's always better to go for quality rather than quantity when it comes to spending time at a new country. Unless you have a trip that is filled with activities like scuba diving, deep-sea fishing and more, short stays of about five days at the maximum will almost perfect. Especially if you are choosing to stay at one resort. For instance, if you are staying at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, most of your Maldives excursions can be covered within a week since they have everything included in their property. If you are planning on doing a bit of island hopping and staying at two or more resorts then a week would be perfect. Keep in mind that island-hopping can also be quite an expensive thing to do during your Maldives holiday.

Go for the luxury trip

If you are planning on going to the Maldives on a budget, you might want to rethink your decision and save up so that you can have a luxurious trip to this country. It is one of the most dreamt of destinations in this part of the world and once you go there on a budget and you see the high-class resorts and activities that you could have partaken in if you had just saved so much more it might dampen your spirits and set the mood quite badly for the whole vacation because you would just feel like you are missing out on stuff while you are on a holiday. The Maldives is also kind of a perfect place for a romantic getaway and luxury is always romantic regardless of which part of the world you are in or are from. Most of the budget travellers who went to the Maldives said they would certainly go back there for a luxury trip. So it is better to save your flight costs and do it all at one go!

Airport transfer in the Maldives

You already know that this trip is going to be on the expensive side of travelling. And in some cases, airport transfer and going from one island to another can end up costing you so much more than your flight ticket to the country. The worst part is most of these travellers ignore this part of travel costs assuming that they are just like hiring a cab in any other country in South Asia. Unfortunately, this is not the case and depending on which island your resort or hotel is located on, the rates do change, therefore, it is always better to check for these prices online and see if they do meet your budget before you make a reservation at a hotel or a resort. For example, a hotel that is closer to the main island on which the International Airport can be found would be cheaper for you to travel to and from compared to an island that is further away.

Food and drinks in the Maldives

Most travellers usually choose to have all three of their meals at their resort or hotel as it is also cheaper for you to book full board rather than ordering meals at your hotel or looking for restaurants on your island.
