Less than a hundred days remain to welcome the New Year! While some are happy to spend the last day of the year at home, some of us have high expectations that can only be satisfied with a trip away from home. Like they say “The world is an oyster”, and Earth has some of the most awe-inspiring locations mankind has ever seen. If you're just like me, looking to hit up at some of the raddest destinations in the world, then this guide may come in handy. Depending on the size of your wallet, you can choose to traverse from one place to another or celebrate at one spot. So here it goes:

Sydney

The cosmopolitan capital of New South Wales, Sydney, is one of the first major cities on the planet to welcome the New Year. The city is home to one of the largest fireworks displays in the world and millions of revellers flood the harbour to get a good look at this spectacle. The New Year’s Eve cruises on Sydney Harbour are arguably the best way to spend the final day of the year with deluxe food, premium drinks, epic views and much more! If you choose a glass boat, not only will you enjoy 360° views of both the Midnight and Family Fireworks displays, but you’ll also cruise past the lit-up Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Luna Park and much more! So end the year in style, raise a toast with your loved ones and watch the night skies turn into a kaleidoscope of vivid colours and lights! Book the top Sydney New Year’s Eve Cruises right away!

London

No introduction is necessary for the capital city of England and the United Kingdom. Though Central London is very busy during this time around, if you plan ahead and come prepared, you might end up having the best time of your life! Hear the famous “bongs” of Big Ben ring out at midnight, followed by the country’s largest annual fireworks display! The fireworks display can be watched from many vantage points including the many rooftops and balconies all across the city. However, some of the best views come from the Westminster Bridge and the banks of River Thames right across the London Eye! And if you're looking to keep the vibes rolling, you can catch a late night event at clubs like The Shard and Printworks, although it's best if you book in advance.

Aspen

This town’s been on my bucket-list for some time now. Aspen is a ski resort town, nestled within the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and is renowned for being a year-round destination for outdoor recreation! Enjoy New Year’s Eve like never before; spend the day skiing with your loved ones on one of the most beloved skiing destinations on the planet, attend an exclusive concert, watch the fireworks over the Aspen Mountain or enjoy a fancy champagne toast at midnight. Being a beacon for recreation, most accommodation and events sell out fast, so plan your trip way ahead if possible.

San Juan del Sur

Famous for its string of Pacific beaches, San Juan del Sur is a holiday hotspot, ideal for travellers of all ages and styles. If you're looking to get all crazy and nurse your hangover the next day on the beaches, then this is it! During New Year’s Eve, the city will be bursting with people from all across the globe, swarming the beaches with their families, and partying hard into the New Year! Every year, there will be a massive beach party where residents and tourists mingle, drink, dance and countdown the New Year together! Sounds like paradise to me!
