Strike a signature pose at one of these locales – we’ve just been named the 10th most Instagrammable place in the world! Our humble ‘Emerald City’ has made the 10th position of the best Instagrammable places in the whole world, beating photogenic masters of the game like the Maldives, Iceland and Tokyo. Yep, it’s the cold truth!

With its exceptional combination of globally-acclaimed landmarks, surplus of natural beauty, and year-round perfect weather, it’s no wonder you should turn your lens on Sydney. And to celebrate, we’re sharing with you the most picture-perfect destinations in and around the city centre!

The House & The Bridge

There are no two ways about it – with legendary icons such as the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, Sydney Harbour is undoubtedly the number one place on this list. But we’re letting you in on a different perspective of these national landmarks. Hop on one of the popular Sydney Harbour lunch cruises and discover unique, close-up angles of the harbour attractions, from the water!

And the best part about the lunch cruises on Sydney Harbour is that you get a good look at some of the other notable attractions as well including the grinning moonface of Luna Park, Fort Denison, Kirribilli House, the many waterside mansions, and of course, the city skyline! Enjoy some world-class cuisines and beverages while you’re at it!

The Queen Victoria Building

Everyone knows the QVB as the go-to destination for shopaholics and foodies, but it is also an architectural wonder that boasts vintage-style layouts and vast interior spaces. Most couples who celebrate an anniversary or any other special occasion within the city, come to this masterpiece to get some glam shots!

The elegant interior design, the polished marble floors, the innumerable glass-stained windows, a copper roof, natural lighting, all provides for a spectacular backdrop to get those pinterest-perfect photos! Plus, the building’s Romanesque Revival-style design, with interesting textures and patterns add quality depth to your average mall photos!

The Chinese Garden of Friendship

Perhaps our personal favourite in this list. The fact that the bustling hub of tourist activity, Darling Harbour, houses a sublime leafy retreat within its urban chaos is crazy in itself. But the calm, spiritual nature of it is a whole nother story! The exceptionally landscaped Chinese Garden of Friendship is surrounded by a medley of traditional pagodas, cute little lilyponds, and even an enchanting waterfall!

The koi fish in the ponds are regular posers for the ‘gram, along with the variety of bird species that thrive here including sparrows, heroism ducks etc. The garden’s architecture is an epitome of traditional Chinese designs with the well-manicured lawns housing vibrant plants providing a splendid portrait backdrop. To add a bit more suave to your snaps, pose at the ornate bridges, pavilions and the pagodas!

Bondi or Manly

Talking about statistics, Bondi Beach is the most instagrammed spot in Sydney, and quite rightly so. The turquoise waters, the vast stretches of white sands, the sprawling restaurants and laid-back, chic cafes, and of course, the inevitable ocean pools! It’s of little wonder why thousands of tourists and locals alike flock to this destination every single day. It is the perfect amalgamation of a vibrant urban atmosphere with hip beachside energy!

Manly is yet another beachside suburb ideal for getting those typical ‘sandwiched between water and sand’ shots! Known as the go-to beach for surfers, if you own a go-pro then grab yourself a board, and jump into the waves! The videos you shoot on the water are surely gonna up your insta-game! And don’t worry, if you’re new to riding the waves, there are surf schools with professionals who will teach you all the basics and more, in no time!

Happy snapping!
