The Rocky Mountains are the most famous mountain range in Canada and a popular tourist destination. The sky-high peaks are covered with snow all the year round and stand out against the blue sky.

The Canadian Rockies National Park Group is located in the southwestern province of Alberta and British Columbia, covering an area of 23,000 square kilometers, including Jasper, Banff, Jojo, Kootenay and other national parks, as well as Hampa, Robson, Assiniboin and other provincial parks, is the largest national park in the world.

The mountains in the Rocky Mountain Park are young, formed about 70 million years ago. The jagged peaks and flowing glaciers make a strange contrast here. The glacier slides slowly down the ice sheet, grinding hard rock into powder and covering the glacial lake with powdery rock debris. The melting snow of the glacier feeds the beauty of Lake St. Louis, which is breathtaking in its extreme beauty. The reflected light from the ice pebbles floating in the water also dresses the lake as bright as emeralds.

Reasons for going:

1. The spectacular landscape of the Rocky Mountains is home to a variety of plants. Aspen, pine, fir, and spruce surround the valley's sparkling water, which reflects the majestic snow-capped mountains. As the elevation rises, the broadleaf forest becomes coniferous, and above that, ice and rock gradually dominate the mountain tops.

2. In summer, hyacinths and broom trees grow over the mountains, wild strawberries and blueberries dot the meadows, and yellow glacier lilies emerge from the melting snow. The wildlife is also diverse, with 225 species of birds ranging from hummingbirds to eagles; There are also 56 species of mammals, the most famous of which are the grizzly bear, a vigilant loner, and the black bear, a boisterous animal who forages for food on the park's trails and in the waste piles of campsites.

3. [Jasper National Park] Located in the northern end of the Rocky Mountains, Jasper National Park in Alberta is the largest alpine national park in Canada. Jasper is a small, charming town with fine shops and delicious food. The Jasper cable car is the longest cable car in Canada. The Columbia Ice Field is the oldest and largest ice field in the Rocky Mountains. Open from mid-April to mid-October, the Athabascal Glacier is a must-see for tourists, and Glacier 93 is one of the most scenic highways in North America. Jasper National Park is home to picturesque lakes such as Paito Lake, Bow Lake, Sorcery Lake, Patricia Lake, Pyramid Mountain, Marin Lake and Marin Canyon

4. [Banff National Park] Canada's first national park, a summer resort. There are a series of ice peaks, glaciers, ice sheets, glacial lakes, alpine grasslands, hot springs and other landscapes, the peak of the North American continent. The central part of the park is Lake Louise, which is especially beautiful. The water changes from blue to green according to the depth of the light, so it is also called Emerald Lake. The Chateau Hotel on the shores of Lake Lewis, with its unique lake and mountain beauty, combined with its antique design and magnificent interior, attracts tourists to stay and visit.

5. [Yojo National Park] Located in British Columbia, Yojo National Park is centered on the Yojo Creek Valley, which rises 3,000 meters above sea level among snow-covered mountains. "Yoho" means "spectacular" in the local indigenous language.

6. [Kootenai National Park] There are glaciers, glacial valleys and glacial lakes in the park. The Barquius shale in Stiven Hill has very well preserved Cambrian fossils, and there are even very precious preserved soft body parts of ancient animals.

7. [Robson Provincial Park] Mount Robson in the park is 3,954 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains. Moose Lake on the Robson Plateau is also called "Hera Deer Lake" because of the presence of Hera deer near the lake.
