Brisbane is a coveted holiday destination in south east Queensland and is one of the biggest cities in the whole of Australia. With over six million domestic and international travellers, Bribsane has a plethora of things to do and see and you'll never be stuck wondering what to do with yourself once you arrive. The city is also brimming with some of the biggest contemporary architectural gems like the Gallery of Modern Art and Story Bridge, among others. So here are some suggestions on where to head for your next visit.

Relish a Dinner Cruise

Brisbane is a gorgeous city with a blend of towering skyscrapers and natural landscapes and to add to this, the city is located on a majestic riverfront. An ideal way to enjoy this exquisite beauty is to witness it from a dinner cruise on the Brisbane River. A unique dine and wine experience which combines restaurant-quality dining with some of the best views the city has to offer, this is a must-try if you're a first-timer in Brisbane. Enjoy a scenic voyage on the incredible river and capture images of the illuminated Story Bridge along with other attractions like the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Botanic Gardens and much more. Feast on a delicious seasonal buffet as you gently glide past these attractions and feel free to explore the outer decks later on! These Brisbane River dinner cruises boast modern decor and ambient interiors which sets the perfect stage for live entertainments and you can enjoy this with a drink in your hand!

Visit Stradbroke Island

Another destination which makes you fall in love with Brisbane over and over again is the impressive Stradbroke Island, which lies within the Moreton Bay region. You can easily spend a day here exploring several parts of the island and discovering intriguing places and things. Even if you stay here for a month you won't get tired of this amazing place as the place is filled with exciting and enjoyable activities. From taking a walk in the woods to swimming in the tea stained lake and other spellbinding sceneries, the island is full of surprises. You'll feel like a million mile away from the bustling sounds of the city with little to no mobile coverage, making it a perfect escape from technology!

Rock Climb at Kangaroo Point Cliffs

Brisbane River is home to many top city attractions and one of them is the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, which is right by the river. It is a popular destination among rock climbers and others who simply admire the greenery. The area has a lush garden at the base which is ideal for relaxation perfect for picnics and BBQs, which are popular in these parts. If you're up for a bit of adventure, go rock climbing and conquer the cliffs. Just like the Story Bridge, Kangaroo Points Cliffs is also a bit outside the Central Business District but offers incredible views of the city and the river.

Explore Brisbane’s Culture at a Museum

Exploring a cultural hub of a city is a great way to know more about the place you're visiting and Brisbane has the perfect place. The Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) is an impressive showcasing of modern and native art and artefacts by the riverside. The art gallery has permanent displays of art inspired by the Australian Aboriginals and even Picasso’s that will leave you awe-struck! The gallery also houses vibrant modern art works and a proud collection of ceramics and artworks from Asian Pacific. The art gallery also has a quaint coffee shop so feel free to stop by on your way out.
