Tin foil cooking is the best way to prepare tasty meals on the go. These ten tin foil camping recipes are sure to spice up any camping trip.

Bacon and Cheese Hot Dogs

To start our list of the best tin foil camping recipes, hot dogs are already a classic option for a campout. But add cheese and bacon, and you've almost got a gourmet meal. As one of the most basic options on our list, you can never go wrong with a hot dog.

And found on The Pioneer Woman's Food Network page, the recipe is even easier than you think. With only three ingredients, you'll need beef hot dogs, string cheese, and 30 slices of bacon, thinly cut.

To prepare, you'll need to bring a campfire with a grill grate on it, or an oven preheated to 450 degrees. You'll split the hot dogs and stuff them with the string cheese.

Once this is done, you'll wrap bacon around the hotdog and place on some tin foil. Cook the dogs on the campfire, and turn them when necessary. This will only take about 10 to 15 minutes.

Quesadillas

Quesadillas are another great classic meal that can be made easily with some tin foil. Referred to as "Camping Quesadillas" by Cupcake Diaries, all you'll need are flour tortillas, grilled chicken breasts, some salsa con queso, black beans, and cheese. As a very cheesy dish, first spread the salsa con queso over a single side of the tortilla.

You will then place the chicken over the queso, add the beans, some cheese, and fold over the plain side. After cooking over the campfire in tin foil, you'll cut the tortilla in four, and enjoy! As one of the best tin foil camping recipes, this is an easy way to cook for kids, and enjoy for yourself.

Sausage and Veggies

We found a great recipe for tin foil sausage and veggies by Chelsea's Messy Apron. Advertised as being extremely easy and quick to make, the dish is one that won't be forgotten every camping trip. They even have a step-by-step video to pair.

However, it does take a bit more ingredients than the past two recipes we've talk about. But for good measure, they're well worth the extra work.

You'll need a red bell pepper, two ears of corn, half a large onion, red potatoes, zucchini, a packet of Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage, olive oil, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, and salt and pepper.

However, don't worry about having to bring all of these ingredients separately on your trip. Simply create the sausage and veggies dish in your tin foil, and bring them along to be heated up in a few minutes, a great DIY camping hack.

Grilled Shrimp

Not just any grilled shrimp, but garlic lemon and chive grilled shrimp, is the newest addition to your camping meals that you're going to love. As one of the healthiest tin foil camping recipes, this is created by Today's Creative Life.

If you thought you could never have seafood on the go, you thought wrong. This recipe only calls for a pound of shrimp, softened butter, fresh chives, fresh garlic, one lemon, and a loaf of french bread.

First, you'll be making the herb butter by combining the butter, garlic, and chive, and then adding some of the zest of the lemon. Then, you'll be baking the bread, and finally, you'll add the shrimp to your meal.

Lemon Chicken

Lemon chicken is always a great go-to meal, but being able to have it on a camping trip is always a treat. This recipe is brought to you by Damn Delicious, and it easier to make than you think. It does require quite a bit of preparation, but each ingredient is necessary for creating that authentic taste.

You'll need olive oil, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, dried thyme, dried rosemary, lemon zest, salt and pepper, red potatoes, black pepper, chicken breast, a lemon, and parsley leaves.

The directions are only seven steps, but will take you through the process of creating a great tasting meal. A more intricate option, but one that is well worth the time to prepare, your camping trip will be a hit with these chicken breasts.

Garlic Parmesan Salmon

Another recipe that is perfect for seafood fans, this Lemon Garlic Parmesan Salmon recipe is again created by Chelsea's Messy Apron. Easily cooked over the grill or oven, you'll need green beans, olive oil, garlic, lemon pepper seasoning, salt, skinless salmon filets, unsalted butter, Parmesan cheese, and lemons.

As one of the best tin foil camping recipes, you'll first prepare the green beans, placing them in the foil, and drizzling them with olive oil and salt and pepper seasoning, then garlic. Then to prepare the salmon filet, you'll add salt and pepper, stir together the butter parmesan cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, and garlic. It will turn into a paste that you'll add to the filet. Then, it's ready to heat!

Ham and Pineapple

As a perfect way to create a hearty sandwich, try making these ham and pineapple subs. With a recipe by Dessert Now Dinner Later, the ingredient list is actually pretty simple. You'll need french rolls, deli sliced ham, pineapple rings, cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, and honey.

And even better, there are only three steps to follow. First, you'll cut your rolls in half while you prepare the mustard and honey. Mix the mustard and honey together to create the spread, and add it to the bottom of the rolls.

Then, you'll start creating the sandwich. Fold a few pieces of ham and place them on top of the honey-mustard, and top it off with a pineapple ring. Then you'll add some cheddar cheese and wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil. The heating will only take about 15-20 minutes.

Grilled French Toast

Next on our list of the best tin foil camping recipes is an option for breakfast. Not every meal you put thought into has to be dinner, and creating a great breakfast for your camping trip is a great idea, and how could you go wrong with french toast?

With a recipe by Food Network, you'll need butter, evaporated milk, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, bread, and berries. With only six steps, Food Network takes you through the easy steps toward creating a very happy morning, with the right amount of sweetness. And it's just how you think french toast is made in the forest.

Chocolate and Coconut S'more

S'mores are always a must when it comes to camping. However, going the traditional route for dessert while still remaining a bit original, this recipe is from Food & Wine, and more specifically, from Bobby Flay, includes coconut to your classic recipe.

It only requires your basic ingredients, as well as a half a cup of sweetened shredded coconut. First, you'll preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and then spread the coconut on a pie plate.

You'll toast this for about four minutes and then thread your marshmallows onto your skewers. Toast your marshmallows over your flame and wait until it is golden and melted.

You will then slide the marshmallows onto the coconut and of course top it off with graham crackers. And the final step, you'll wrap the s'mores in foil and bake for about three minutes until the chocolate melts.

Banana Split

Last on our list of the best tin foil camping recipes is a fun one, a banana split. Who knew you could create campfire banana split? Well, the recipe comes from Food Network and only requires bananas, butter cookies, milk chocolate, mini marshmallows, ice cream, sprinkles, and a cherry on top.

First, you'll tear the foil into squares, then you'll slice the bananas and arrange them. Then, you'll add the cookies (chopped up) and marshmallows. Then you'll fold the foil and seal the top as well as the sides. Roast the packets over the grill for about seven minutes and serve a warm banana split perfect for a summer night.
