If you are someone who is running behind life, someone who needs to calm down a little, or someone who wishes to travel to locations distant from incredible adventures, this place is excellent for you.

Inadvertently, or was it by design, there was a gorgeous feature on Calabria in the travel magazine I randomly selected at a hotel. My friend and I connected and studied the article together and found something pretty interesting and thrilling in the place.

I finally settled on the decision to write down my thoughts as a post to my blog.

Italy at its most off-the-beaten path is in Calabria. It is a very popular summer vacation spot for Italians, yet few people from the rest of the world have ever been. That intrigued me greatly on its own.

At the heel of Italy's boot is situated the most underrated place in Europe, Calabria. Its scenery is breathtaking. The 500 miles of coastline are certain to appeal to ocean lovers. To the west and east, respectively, the region is bordered by the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Ionian Sea. It is a combination of the provinces of Vibo Valentia, Crotone, Reggio Calabria, Catanzaro, and Cosenza. Calabria and the Strait of Messina meet at the tip of the boot, with Sicily just a couple of minutes by ferry away.

The place holds an incomparable fusion of ancient Greek and Norman cultural influences. The people, food, cultural practices, as well as festivals, are a sign to enjoy the very essence of the not-so-busy place. All these aspects will make you fall in love with this heaven on Earth within a flicker of an eye.

A place where no phone network shall work but I am sure, you'll have the best connection with your mind, body, and soul once you start feeling the peace in this region.

With the Calabrian locals out there, life seems so nice yet simple and minimal. Though you might have to use sign language for communicating, their warm welcome and a nice, cozy bonfire with them, talking about the history of Calabria and the mountains and seas they have seen while growing up, believe me, it's nothing you would ever be able to expect in a 500 square feet apartment in the New York City.

At the Scilla market and in the town square, It is simple to start up talks with the market traders. Restaurant staff and shopkeepers were frequently eager to strike up a discussion.

Ah, Calabria! The land of stunning beaches and hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. While some may flock to the more well-known seaside destinations, those in the know understand that Calabria holds a secret - its magnificent beaches. So grab your sunscreen and get ready for a journey through the prettiest shores you've ever laid eyes on!

The "Coast of the Gods" is not a misnomer for the gorgeous lengths of shoreline in Tropea, a municipality in Calabria, Italy. The settlement was supposedly created by Hercules. Tropea is a beach lover's heaven, thanks to its white sandy beaches, which are lined with vibrant umbrellas, the Tyrrhenian Sea's crystal-clear waters, and its Mediterranean temperature. Homes cling to the towering, rocky cliffs that frame the magnificent beaches. A stairway will lead you down to the beach, where you can hire an umbrella, take in the stunning rock formations, and even enjoy seafood spaghetti on the sand.

Another big attraction of the place is the Sanctuary of Maria dell’ Isola, a cave to various pilgrimages situated for centuries. There's the most peaceful olive garden within, where birds would come sing to you if and if not you are down with something. Overall, the atmosphere is serene and tranquil. However, this is the location from where the once-fuming Stromboli volcano peeps from behind the seas.

For the final move, we have nothing but a magnificent and glorious sunset of Calabria. Every evening, a crowd of locals and visitors congregates at the viewpoint at the end of Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Tropea to take in the breathtaking sunsets. The Stromboli Volcano, which is submerged in the Tyrrhenian Sea, is framed by stunning orange and crimson hues that light up the sky.

You might be thinking, how can someone have such vivid images of a place never stepped on, I would like to add, It's all for the beauty and imagination this place holds. So keep reading and keep exploring.
