Last year's Pandemic winter (December 2020) just ended after a long hibernation, also known as lockdown. We were just working on the next week's plans during the lockdown and wanted them done as soon as we could.

I am the only boy in my family, so I have quite the wanderlust. I like to travel quite a bit with some of my closest friends. In order to fulfill my dream of having a lot of unforgettable college experiences so that my four years in college will be filled with fond memories, my friends and I decided to go to Kasol a small village in (Manali) as it is one of the most amazing destinations for trekking and backpacking (little driving and walking).

We took some travel expenses from our parents and went on our way from Delhi to Kasol. They believed me when I told them I’d be watching an amazing basketball match between the Kasauli tigers. They’re adorable they don’t even know why most of the people or college students visit Kasol.

So our road trip started from Delhi first checkpoint was Chandigarh and then Chandigarh to Kasol, we booked a car from Chandigarh and that took us to Kasol. The total distance of 280 KM. Our 8-hour drive seemed like it took just a few minutes since we passed by some amazing mountains, trees, localities, and some great jokes along the way. we had our breakfast at the top of a mountain since we were going there from concrete jungle everything was precious for us the long trees, mountains, fresh and clean air and river water which are not easily available in the cities.

75% of people visit there because Kasol and Malana village is very famous for its weed, hash it’s the purest you can get from any part of the country. It is said that even “Bob Marley” the famous songwriter and singer once visited Malana village to taste the amazing Malana cream, by the way, don’t get me wrong I am not a smoker or stoner my self but I said I am a wanderlust and it’s good to enjoy the I though Kasol would be a crowded place it was just a small village where you can enjoy some of the precious stuff with nature and find your peace.

Kasol is a very small place you can travel the whole village In just 30 minutes, the main market was the place where we stopped and took our luggage out there stayed 1 night. we saw a lot of foreigners as Malana cream is famous worldwide they also visit there to taste the quality of stash available over there. you can enjoy watching the sunset and listen to the amazing peaceful sound of the Parvati river and the chilled climate over there. A lot of cafes and brownies bakeries are available so that you can enjoy your stay without any hunger or cooking issues.

After that, we went to kheer Ganga it is special for its hot spring water it is an amazing destination to chill your brain and relax after a 3 hours trek.

we ended our trip right over there and took our memories back with us but if you want to explore some more then there are some more places like Sar Pass trek, Parvati Paas.

Sar Paas trek - A trek from Kasol to Sar Paas takes 5 days to complete and is covered with snow from May to June, so it's best to pack your bags and head there in summer. This trek should be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

Pin Parvati trek -if you have some more time then you can visit the famous Pin Parvati trek it takes 4 days from kheer Ganga to reach Mantalai lake, The name Mantali lake is originated from “Mansarovar lake”. If you want to extend your trek to 9 to 10 days trek, you will get to see 3 peaks named after great Indian mythology gods Shiv, Parvati, and Ganesha. You will also get to visit Spiti from there.

It is said that the best view comes after the hardest climbs.

please like and share if you are also a wanderlust person.
