Global Tourism

Many countries now feel the need to invest in tourism, because of the income earned for the economy. Having invested less than this amount in just one year, several countries recovered to eight million dollars. Some countries that are not noticeable in the world today, are considered one of the most important tourist centers in the world. The thing is, how did they do it? If a country chooses an ideal strategy, explores all tourist centers, preserves and strengthens nature, accepts new attractive and aggressive actions, and restores confidence, it will promote recovery. This way, the roads are packed for an annual increase in national income. After all, many people make more money to burn plane tickets.

Tourism has existed since it was founded, and every country can boast at least one natural object. According to 2017 United Nations (UNWTO) tourism highlights, France, which is quite phenomenal in tourism, is at the forefront, gaining more than 86.9 million international tourists with Spain following with 81.8 million. Countless visitors come to France to visit world-famous landmarks such as the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Versailles, and Arc de Triomphe. Many of the main tourist attractions are located in the French capital, Paris. The country is home to 37 remarkable UNESCO World Heritage sites that are known throughout the world for their extraordinary universal values. In France, 9.7 percent of GDP comes from the travel and tourism sectors. 30 percent of the tourism income comes from foreign tourists, the remaining 70 percent comes from domestic tourism.

This year, the United States, China, Italy, Mexico, Britain, Turkey, and Germany witnessed a flood of visitors. Iceland, which is on the list of growth of 24.1 percent compared to 2016, dropped one point and finished in eleventh place tied with Turkey. Thailand, which banned all types of sex tourism, and is now opposed to all forms of this tourism, and is also listed in the best tourist destinations that every year welcomes visitors. In 2017, Thailand received 35.7 million people in the country. Australia, Russia, Japan, Canada, South Korea, and other countries are also impressive: millions of visitors come to their countries.

Thailand is a hotspot for tourists with its sunny sandy beaches, tropical islands, rich wildlife, archaeological sites, temples, and monasteries. Lively and vibrant festivals, exciting nightlife, world-class commercial facilities, and delicious Thai cuisine are admired in this country. Direct and indirect tourism income is estimated to reach almost 20.2 percent of national GDP. And it is assumed that Thailand will receive around 100 million visitors by 2032. The United States raked in almost $ 210.7 billion from tourists in 2017, a little more than 2018. Meanwhile, Chinese citizens spend $257.7 billion on travel and tourism, thus in 2017, global costs for outgoing traffic—and return flights were taken over.

One of the most surprising participants in the list of the fastest growing tourist destinations in 2017 is Egypt. The North Africans gradually recovered from the political turmoil of recent years, leading to an increase in international arrivals of more than half a percent the previous year. Egypt has many amazing locations, including many historical sites. Many countries recognize the benefits of tourism, and make every effort to be recognized globally. Countries such as Togo, San Marino, Vietnam, Georgia, the Palestinian Territories, Niue, Nepal, Israel, and the Northern Mariana Islands have recently become the fastest growing tourist destinations.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I arrived in Turkey. Tourist attractions here are very beautiful with high levels of maintenance. Not surprisingly, this Eurasian country is often included in the list of the most visited countries in the world. Turkey is famous for its many seaside resorts on the Mediterranean coast, and the Aegean, with around 37.6 million visitors. In addition, the country has natural and historical attractions, including ancient monasteries and ruined cities. In Turkey, the city of Antalya is deemed to be the country's tourism capital, although Istanbul is equally popular with museums, markets, and historic sites.

There are so many countries that are known throughout the world for their attractions, but still add more to the already established ones. Countries such as Germany, which receive more than 37.5 million visitors each year, always measure their income by the increment of visitors. The German tourism industry is expected to contribute 4.5 percent to national GDP, and two million job opportunities will be created based on travel needs and tourism jobs. Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg are some of the most visited cities in the country. State visits for educational and business purposes are also very broad. Some protected areas in Germany, such as Saxon Swiss National Park, Amsterdam National Park, and Jasmund National Park, attract millions of tourists every year.

The United Kingdom received visitors in their country slightly above Germany. 37.7 million people who come here every year have their reason why they love England so much. Based on my accumulated information, rich culture, well-developed facilities and infrastructure in tourist areas in the UK—they were ranked seventh for tourism objects in the world last year. Tourism is one of the booming sectors, and increases by $17.2 billion every year. Perhaps that's because London is the most visited city in England, and the Tower of London is the most popular attraction in the country.

North America has never been missed when tourism is being discussed. Mexico is one of the countries with 39.3 million visits. The country offers world-class beaches and world-class resorts. In the past eleven years, the tourism industry has grown strongly. As one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, Mexico has a rich culture and colourful tradition.

Italy is not only known in the fashion world, but also with many cultural assets, archeological sites, the Roman Empire and Rebirth, as well as strange villages and mountain towns in the north of the country. Italy also has a very charming Mediterranean coast in the south, and this justifies Italy as the fifth most visited country in the world with 58.3 million tourists per year.

The youngest teenager in the world even knows that at the mention of China's name, what comes to mind is technology. But hey! Innovative technology itself is tourism. In addition to the above, China has beautiful places such as the land of the Great Wall, Five Holy Mountains, the Forbidden City of the Shaolin Temple, Huangguoshu Waterfall, Three Gorges, and other natural, cultural, and historical POIs to draw your breath. They receive more than 60 million foreign tourists every year with a large amount of foreign exchange income. According to the World Trade Organization (WTO), in 2020 this country is likely to occupy the first position in the global tourism industry.

Known as one of the most powerful countries in the world, the United States welcomes 76.9 million tourists every year to the largest countries in the world. Famous cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas attract tourists throughout the year.

However, you cannot talk about the United States without showing the most important natural landmark in the country: The Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, Alaska's subarctic Wonderland, the Hawaiian coast, and other tourist attractions are some of the country's attractions. The tourism industry has created many job opportunities for many people. The large number of visitors come from England, Canada, and Mexico.

If tourism accounts for nearly 11 percent of Spain's GDP, this is a clear indication of why other European countries, such as Britain, France, Italy and Germany, are traveling from home to Spain. Nearly 81.8 million of these people and other foreigners visit Spain every year. Barcelona and Madrid's resorts on the Mediterranean and Atlantic beaches, popular festivals including the bull carnival and management, 15 national parks, well-developed winter tourist facilities, and lively nightlife are Spanish tourist hotspots. This country is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) report for last year, tourism notes that the growth of international tourism will never decline, with each country continuing to unite various things to make a list. Global tourism visits increased 6.8 percent in 2017, slightly above the quota in 2018. They each reached 1.32 billion and two billion dollars.

In all of this, it is unfortunate that some African countries have not compiled the list, because most of their interesting and historic sites are not well maintained and updated.

In 2018 in Africa, more than 57.8 million international tourists arrived, which from 2017, some of them increased in this very impressive sector. So far, countries such as Morocco, South Africa, Egypt, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Algeria, Nigeria, Mozambique, the Ivory Coast, and Namibia are the selected countries on the continent, that are recognized as the best tourist destinations. Maybe the others will soon join the line as years elapse.
