The holidays are finally here! What better time to get away and travel somewhere fun, exciting, and magical? Here are the top 5 destinations for an unforgettable Christmas vacation. Whether it’s your first trip or your 20th, these 5 destinations will make you feel like a kid again as you celebrate this holiday season with friends and family. Happy travels!

1) New York City

New York City is the ultimate Christmas destination. From the festive lights that line the streets to the department store windows, this city has it all when it comes to celebrating the holidays. Start at Macy's Herald Square, where you can see Santa and Mrs. Claus in person! You can also partake in a variety of holiday activities throughout Manhattan like ice skating on Bryant Park, visiting The Rockefeller Tree, or exploring one of the many festive markets in New York City. Whether you're looking for some family-friendly fun or want to explore this iconic metropolis, New York City is the perfect place for your next Christmas vacation.

2) St. Louis

St. Louis is the perfect place to spend your Christmas vacation with family and friends, where you can enjoy the city's charm and rich history. Omaha is a city in Nebraska, and it's the largest city in that state. Omaha is a relatively modern town, with lots of attractions and activities available year-round. However, it's most popular during the holiday season. There are many great destinations in Omaha to explore, but here are 5 of the best:

1) The Union Pacific Museum-

This museum displays trains from all over America, including some of the world's most famous trains like the Casey Jones Express. It also has train memorabilia and rare vintage cars.

2) The Durham Museum-

This museum specializes in science and history and offers educational programs throughout the year. It has something for everyone, from children to adults. The restaurant inside the museum is a perfect place for lunch on your visit.

3) Joslyn Art Museum-

If you're looking for art, this should be your first stop. There are so many different exhibits, and admission to the galleries is free!

4) Old Market District-

With four different habitats filled with plants and animals from all around the world, there's plenty to see at this zoo. These five spots should give you a good idea of what Omaha has to offer when it comes to family friendly vacation spots!

4) Seattle

Seattle, Washington is a beautiful destination for a Christmas vacation. It has many activities to do during the day and night, which makes it easy to take advantage of the winter season. The Christmas Village in Seattle has been a popular destination each year, as well as visiting Pike Place Market on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Other things to do are going ice skating at the Mercer Slough pond, taking photos with Santa Claus in his sleigh at Westlake Center, and more!

5) Sarasota

Sarasota is a popular destination for Christmas vacation, and there are plenty of things to do during the holiday season. From Christmas light displays to festive parades and holiday concerts, Sarasota has something on offer for everyone. If you're looking for a more traditional experience, check out the Christmas Boat Parade in downtown Sarasota which features more than 100 boats, decorated with lights and wrapped in tinsel.

The parade starts at 6pm on Saturday evening and lasts about two hours before concluding at 8pm. There's also a free show by Sanborn Square Stage at 7pm that night where they'll be playing carols and songs from musicals. Alternatively, head over to John Ringling Causeway for the Holiday In Lights display- it's one of the biggest attractions in Sarasota for Christmas time!
