If you are an organization or an employee looking to plan team bonding activities for your staff, then you have come to the right place.

Basic team bonding activities like tug of war or football are outdated and will most likely not excite your staff. You need to come up with fun and unique ideas that will leave your people yearning for more. This will undoubtedly bring them together and help foster strong bonds. Here are some special team bonding activities you can introduce to your team this summer.

1. Kayaking

Kayaking is a fun activity you can try out with your team in west virginia state parks. It is an activity that involves moving through water in a particular boat called a kayak, using a paddle with double blades.

Kayaking allows the boat driver to navigate the waters by sitting face forward and navigating ahead by alternating the paddle strokes side to side. This is a great way to bring the team together because it will provide a new experience.

Bonds between people may be stronger when they involve creating new experiences and memories together. You can divide the team into various groups to compete well. The team that wins the kayak race across the waters wins the game. The beautiful thing about kayaking is that it does not require any previous experience. Therefore, the entire activity will be fair game to all team members, including those that will be kayaking for the first time.

Exploring the shallow open waters of the state park in West Virginia will allow the team members to discover their canoeing’s hidden skills and automatically provide a platform where they have to work together and rely on each other to succeed. After the team bonding activities, the employees/staff will have an easier time working together.

2. Rock climbing

Another not-so-common team bonding activity you can try out is rock climbing. Although many people do not favor this sport, it may be a thrilling activity that will help bond the team. Rock climbing involves carefully climbing the faces or surfaces of rocks with the aid of special equipment and rocks.

The goal of rock climbing is to reach the summit of the rock structure. In this case, your team can divide itself into various groups, and you can all compete to reach the top of the rock. The team member or representative who reaches the summit first symbolizes the entire group, which will win the competition.

To make the game more exciting, you should plan a special gift for the winning team. This could be a monetary gift or getaway for the winning members. This will encourage each team member to put their best foot forward and give their best performance. Rock climbing is a physically demanding sport, and it requires agility, mental fortitude, strength, and fitness. All these values needed in rock climbing will teach your team members valuable lessons that will help them perform better at work.

3. Mountain biking

Do you want an activity that is not only very easy but also extremely enjoyable for your team? Mountain biking is one of the simplest team bonding activities ever. The activity will allow your people to connect with nature as you bond.

You can hire some bicycles locally to ride in the highlands of the state park in West Virginia. Mountain biking does not necessarily mean that you and the rest of the team should go camping in the mountains. With some good mountain bikes, you and your team just have to follow trails as you compete against one another.

Singletrack trails are the best for mountain biking because they are one-way paths (therefore safer), and they wind smoothly across landscapes.

4. Skeet shooting

Another impressive way of bringing your team together to bond is skeet shooting. Granted that this is a sport for hunters, it will provide an incredible opportunity for your team to explore their hunting and focus skills. The best shooters can represent various groups in the team, and the competition can begin. Team members will bond as they cheer each other on.

There are many other activities that team members can use to bond. It just requires creativity and fun. Which activity do you think will be best for your team?
