Kashmir has the second-highest ropeway in the world - Kongdori Gandola

Kashmir is popularly known for its beauty, its rivers, lakes, fountains, mountains, and valleys. But do you know how Kashmir looks like in winters?

This is the winter in Kashmir, but factually this picture is of the world's second-highest ropeway, Kongdori Gandola. Kongdori Gondolas are situated in Gulmarg, Kashmir. Gulmarg is famously known as 'Meadow of Flowers'. This cable car ropeway is so high that some people may also faint in it. It's better to visit Gulmarg in the winters. What a scenery is here, you can't even imagine.

The Mughals were the great rulers of India. They also ruled Kashmir for a long time. Their era ended but they left their marks here for us, famously known as Mughal gardens. There are many Mughal gardens in Kashmir viz Nishat garden, Shalimar garden, and Chashmishahi garden These gardens are so beautiful that even a great photographer once said "Oh! Nishat garden you are so beautiful that I can't dart my eyes away from you ". The style of these gardens is inspired by the Persian style. Kashmir was once a lake

There are so many theories about Kashmir. It's believed that long ago Kashmir was a huge Lake known as 'Satissar' surrounded by mountains on all sides. There was no way for water to get out of there, but it's believed that due to a massive earthquake the tectonic plates displaced a much larger than normal. This led to the drift in the mountains of Kashmir and hence paying the path for water to get out of here. This led to the formation of a valley popularly known as Kashmir.

Largest Fresh Water Lake of Asia - Wular Lake

Situated in the Bandipora district of Kashmir lies Asia's largest Fresh Water Lake is known as Wular Lake. Wular has such crystal clear water that you can see pebbles, fishes, and insects in it. Its water is much purer than most of the water filters and purifiers. I'm not cooking words here, it's proven.

Largest Tulip Garden In Asia

Kashmir has the largest Tulp garden in Asia. This Tulip garden is known as the 'Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden'. It's spread over an area of about 30 ha (74 acres). It has millions of Tulips in it with different colors. It blooms in April, but due to global warming this year, it will bloom by the 3rd week of March. One cannot miss this out. Believe me, this garden will make you fall in love with it.
