There has been so many people talking about it, some say it is bad and others, that its good. BUT is it good? If it is good, then for me I mean it is the beats and the music that I like. The lyrics of the song is so degrading that I do not even have words for it. When Critics are saying that this song is vulgar or bring bad role models, some people starts to defend it. There is nothing wrong to tell your opinion but defending something that is just only sexual, is where we are wrong.

“WAP” (Wet-Ass Pussy) is Cardi B’s fourth number 1 hit on Billboard, her first release of 2020, and her first single since 2019’s “Press.” Featuring Megan Thee Stallion

Firstly, let's look at the WAP song's lyrics:

[Intro: Cardi B, Al "T" McLaran & Megan Thee Stallion]

Whores in this house

There's some whores in this house

There's some whores in this house

There's some whores in this house (Hol' up)

I said certified freak, seven days a week

Wet-ass pussy, make that pullout game weak, woo (Ah)

[Chorus: Cardi B]

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Yeah, you fuckin' with some wet-ass pussy

Bring a bucket and a mop for this wet-ass pussy

Give me everything you got for this wet-ass pussy

Defenders say that the criticism is all rooted in misogamy and sexism. I would ask them to research the meaning of the terms first.

Misogamy means hatred of marriage. Sexism means prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, based on sex.

Now ask yourself and reflect when you watch the video and read the lyrics, think about what it points at. This song is about whores, sex which indicates no women empowerment, no feminism, only women talking about sex. It should not be a big deal to talk about sex but at the same time talking like that women only cares about sex and the size of men's penis is degrading to show as one of the women's greatest values.

People get sensitive about objectifying women and claim critics are conservatives and narrow-minded. But if you objectify yourself (women) as a person who only cares about sex, just like is shown in the music video, then what do you expect from other people. These people are themselves are pseudo feminists, women who talk to encourage these kinds of things are only contributing to increase the wrong idea of women empowerment.

Some defenders are saying that it's nothing if we compare it to Lady Gaga's songs, Nicki Minaj, etc, which says all about the mindset of them. If that's the case then why don't you re-elect Trump because he is nothing compared to Kim Jong Un (North Korea's dictator and supreme leader)? We should talk about degrading women's values cause it does impact the mindset and thinking of the people in society. If we keep saying and stating women a sex object, I'm sorry but it's not women empowerment or feminism. If people are more aware now, then it's a good thing to discuss and talk about such things to create awareness and stop defending such songs. Don't ask people to stop being aware and just sit on the sofa listening to such nonsense songs.

If you are thinking that I am against women, well, I'm not. I am a woman and understand women's hardships. But let me tell you if there are problems relating to sex in women's life that doesn't mean that you tell them whore. Women are human beings and they give birth to other beings, stop making them look like whores. Women are not limited to sex and to talk about sex. People saying and defending that men talked about sex first in the pop-culture, that's just a stupid excuse.

If some men are stupid then it doesn't mean that you should go follow footsteps of them. It looks like now the American pop culture is becoming a stadium to talk about sex.

Some critics said they (Cardi B and Meghan) are bad role models. Defenders defend it but here is the truth.

Cardi B herself said that “No, of course, I don’t want my child to listen to this song and everything,” the rapper said, adding: “It’s for adults.”

But if you go to the video on YouTube, it's not age-restricted even after 2 months of its release. Where are the feminists and organizations are?

In the end, it's you who decide what to watch and support. You are the FUTURE of the world and PRESENT too. It's better to think and take action in the PRESENT and not regret our upcoming FUTURE. If you don't do something about it now, then our future generation won't care about it too.

After all, ALL DEPENDS ON US.
