The celebration and encouragement of womanhood have increasingly grown in the modern world. There are organizations, groups, and charities that help encourage women to be the best they can be and genuinely know their worth. For younger girls in middle school, high school, and college, it's vital for these younger ladies to see a woman being celebrated and shown they can do whatever they put their mind to do, women can do anything. There are organizations out there that represent women all around the world. In Her shoe Movement is an International organization all about women empowerment. As for a global organization, Her Campus magazine is all about catering to the needs of women and celebrating womanhood.

In Her Shoe movement is all about giving women the creative expression and platform to be more confident and courageous. “The foundation of everything we do begins and ends with one question: What would you do if you were 1% more courageous? We take a stand for girls' freedom of expression, an assertion of passion, and pursuit of possibility in every aspect of their lives” stated on the website. This platform is the perfect example of celebrating women and giving them a voice to be heard. The impact of this organization has been impactful for many women.

The impact of In Her shoe organization is international and has proven to be a positive impact. With over 6 cities in the United States, from the ocean views of Los Angeles to the concrete jungles of New York, our team is Catalyzing Courage in 6 cities across the U.S. and in Bali, Indonesia as the websites explains its reach and impact, they provide statistics on their website to breakdown their impact more:

75% of high schoolers who participated in our Catalyze Courage Summit shared that they are exploring a new major in an area of study they never considered

13% of students shared 'applying to a new school they considered' a "reach"

5% of high school participants shared 'applying to, and or visiting, a new school they did not originally consider' as a possibility to attend

7% of students shared they are joining a new club, volunteer organization, or tried out for a new opportunity

Organizations like In Her Shoes are the reason more women around the world are taking on high positions and have the confidence to achieve it. Showing young women at an early age is the start of tapping into their potential within the world.

Her campus is a college online magazine written for women by women in college and just like In Her Shoes it is proving to be a positive impact globally. Millersville University is one of the many colleges that has this positive and impactful magazine on campus for all women. Mentioned on the Millersville campus event website, Her Campus Millersville, a branch of HerCampus.com is an online magazine for the college women of Millersville. Six sections of the site are updated weekly. Sections include campus news, events, student profiles, blogs, and photos. Her campus Millersville is the perfect place to get personalized information about what is happening on Millersville's campus.

On Monday, March 3rd, 2020, Her Campus at Millersville University hosted their second annul Her Carnival event. Summarized on the website, it stated the fact celebration of womanhood was the focus. The purpose of the event was for women to learn about the difficulty women face, self-love, and the power of the woman. "When I graduated, the one thing I knew I was going to miss is the amazing friendships I've made on Millersville Campus. I'm glad I still have these friendships and get invited to celebrate womanhood with the amazing female friends I made," said Kristen Murphy, a recent graduate of Millersville University.

The event showcased different stations where guests could visit each station and learn about the various female sororities, learn more about themselves and their interest at one station, and the history of Women. During the event, attendees got the opportunity to learn more about self-love and self-worth. There was one station where attendees were asking about their interests and goals for the future. When entering the event, the guest took a piece of paper with the different stations to consider in a giveaway at the end.

Many women from the Millersville campus came out to the event to celebrate and be a part of something meaningful. The event brought together many women from different backgrounds and brought along friends as well. "I've attended different events on campus, but to be able to go to an event made specifically for women and celebrate us feels special and creates a positive impact," mentioned Ariam Kelati, an attendee at the Her Carnival. The whole meaning behind Her campus carnival is to create something meaningful and positive for women all around different Campuses.

Her campus is associated with more than one college. On the website, Her Campus, there are multiple writers and readers from different universities. For example, Hercampus.com mentions one of their own writers, Madeleine Bokan, who manages the Her Campus national branded content team. She graduated from Fordham University in 2015, where she studied communications and marketing. "What this carnival means to me is a community of ladies supporting each other. Her campus is a positive place for the celebration of womanhood. I love the fact I get to meet more ladies on campus that want to uplift and show each other support. Also, I love the fact I can read these amazing articles not only written by women on Millersville campus but different campuses all over the state," mentioned Marvelin Santana, another attendee at the Her Carnival.

Lexi Sites, a contributor for the Her campus online magazine at Millersville University, posted an article on the website entitled, What Her Carnival Means to Me. She mentions three reasons what the carnival means to her, such as being surrounded by women, learning the history, and learning to love herself. “At Her Carnival, you are surrounded by a lot of other women who support the same causes that you do. This helps me feel empowered and strong because I know that I am not alone as a woman, and I have a huge support system behind me. When we all come together for this event, it shows that women's empowerment is an important cause and something that we should stand up for,” Sites mentions in her article.

Womanhood is essential in the modern world, but to have clubs and organizations like Her Campus and In Her Shoes impacts the future females. Events like the Her campus carnival gives women the chance to explore themselves individually and with friends as well. In Her Shoes continues to impact female students in embracing who they are and giving them the confidence needed to conquer the world.
