Recapping the Third Quarterfinal Match in the 2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament
Paris played host to the third Quarterfinal match in the Queen of the Ring Tournament

WWE's tour through Europe concluded with the second straight edition of what I call "Monday Afternoon (Late Morning) Raw," because of Netflix airing things live worldwide. It started on the last weekend of May, with SmackDown taking place in Barcelona (the Dream Team city), followed by Clash in Paris in Milan two days later. WWE remained in Italy for Raw and SmackDown last week, with those shows featuring the first two Quarterfinal matches in both the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments.
Both tournaments continued on as Raw finished their European trip with Raw emanating from Paris. I often say that as a hockey fan, I'm grateful to France. It's because of France that we have the province of Quebec, which was the home of the Quebec Nordiques, who later became the Colorado Avalanche, and with special Avalanche anniversaries coming up on back-to-back days, seeing this Raw from France was extra special.
Regarding the Queen of the Ring Tournament, the third Quarterfinal match was quite stacked. Becky Lynch has won it all and is eight days removed from losing the Women's Intercontinental Championship to Sol Ruca. Alexa Bliss has won her share of titles as well, including recently reigning as one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions with Charlotte Flair. Chelsea Green is the first-ever Women's United States Champion, and one of two to hold the title twice. And then, there's Liv Morgan. The current Women's World Champion. Emphasis on current. A shot at her title is on the line, but Liv is in the match. Why? In character, Liv says she wants to win it all. In actuality: WWE is acting so stupid and lost with Stephanie Vaquer out, and pretending not to have any other options when they had plenty.
The match had its moments, mainly Chelsea and Alexa appearing to have an alliance, but that was kiboshed. Speaking of, I am so happy that Chelsea is in babyface mode. She is hilarious and entertaining even as a heel, so you know she would double down on the wackiness as a babyface. Based on who was in this match, the obvious choice to win it was Chelsea. Alexa doesn't need it. Becky sure as hell doesn't need it. Liv's the current World Champion.
Guess who won?

Triple H has really lost what's left of his mind lately. Bad enough he had Oba Femi lose a rematch to Brock Lesnar that should have never happened in the first place. Now he put his Women's World Champion (who has still yet to defend her title since winning it) in the Queen of the Ring Tournament, and even worse, she advances! Chelsea won't be hurt by this at all, because she's my pick to win Money in the Bank this year, but still, this was a wasted spot. Liv Morgan should not be in this tournament. And yet, she's two wins away from winning it.
Some are saying this may actually lead to us seeing a Liv vs Raquel QOTR Final. This better not happen. I get that Liv and Raquel both advancing kinda furthers this angle with Roxanne possibly wanting out, but Liv shouldn't have been in this. Liv could advance to the Final, and it could depend on who wins the last remaining Quarterfinal on Friday's SmackDown. In that match, it'll be Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair, and Jade Cargill fighting for the last spot in the Semifinals. Lyra (my pick to win QOTR) should win that match because Charlotte and Jade don't need it, and Sol has her own business. It's the Semifinals that make me nervous.
* * *
Despite my apprehension, I am interested in seeing how this tournament plays out, and I am excited to see who will join Iyo Sky, Raquel Rodriguez, and yes, Liv Morgan in the Final Four. Speaking of the first two, Iyo and Raquel's Semifinal match will take place on next week's Raw, and the promo gave the indication that the second Semifinal match will occur on the June 19 SmackDown, leaving a week after that to promote the Final for Night of Champions.
