"This is Captain Grace Emberly, on behalf of myself, my co-pilot Paul Blakely and the flight crew, let me welcome all you ladies on board. Your flight to Las Vegas today will be roughly four hours long, please sit back, relax and enjoy the onboard hospitality.

Jamie, the main hostess on the flight, stood at the entrance door to the large privately owned jet and watched the women giggling, applying make-up, whispering to each other, gossiping and flexing their perfectly manicured and sculptured bodies. Celebrities, a whole bunch of them. Mostly singers, some could be movie stars and what nots. Jamie was not like the other three flight attendants, she had no time for following them online, for knowing who was who, or who was married to whom, who was dating or divorcing whom, or who was hiding dirty little secrets from whom.

A jet plane filled with beautiful, mostly rich spoilt women. What could go wrong? Jamie wondered silently. Someone started singing loudly "Champagne problems", while everyone joined in. Oh such fun, Jamie groaned. Grace, one of the flight attendants had brought out the liquor cart and the party was in full swing long before they even got to the actual party destination.

The flight had originated from Fresno, California, destination Las Vegas, Nevada. It had been a nightmare getting them all seated and settled for the flight. Jamie had held her annoyance in check, smiling sweetly and enduring the non-stop demands of the bevy of gorgeously bejeweled women. She walked down the isles dutifully checking, making sure everyone was doing ok and pandered to their every need, however annoying she found their little airs and graces.

It was going to be a long four hours in the sky. She had only taken this extra job for the extra cash. They were paying too well to say no.

".....but she said she was breaking up with what's his name last week"! The raven-haired beauty sitting in seat 40B said to her seatmate as Jamie passed by.

"Oh girl, you know she ain't never gonna leave that man, she's been saying that forever".

"Oh, these shoes, I got them at....".

"More champagne please, flight attendant, where is she anyway"? Jamie knew the face of the speaker, couldn't quite recall her name though.

"Someone will be right with you". She answered, smiling sweetly.

"Excuse me, Jordan is it, can you bring me another pillow please, thank you". At least she was pleasant and well mannered, Jamie thought as she overheard the request made to Jordan. He was in heaven right now, this was his scene.

"Sure thing Zendaya, Be back in a minute".

"Thank you sugar". She blew him a kiss, he caught it.

Jordan had scored himself some favors and autographs, Jamie let him have his fun.

Nobody was where anybody should be, seats were being swapped, articles of clothing were being shown around, jewellery, shoes, purses, sunglasses, you name it, everything was everywhere.

More singing arose, filling the interior of the airplane with angellic voices and sounds. Jamie had to smile, she had to admit that even if she could not point out who was who, doing what, she felt a bit of jealousy at seeing these successful women in their elements. What was it like actually being them she wondered. This time they chose a Rihanna song, "Lift me up".

The entire airplane joined in, even the pilots could be heard singing along. For a moment, all was quiet after the song ended. Then the pandemonium and racket that only women can enjoy within each other's company broke out again.

A verbal fight was fast escalating a few seats down, between??. Jamie really wished she paid more attention, she couldn't tell which two ladies were about to tussle in a progressive battle of words. Seat belts were becoming undone, earrings were being discarded, flung here and there, and someone was trying to climb over the seat ahead. Other ladies were up and holding onto feet, arms, legs and various body parts, trying to stop an all-out fight.

"Calm down, this is not the time or place for this". Someone was saying.

"What in the hell is going on"? Another asked.

"Those two have got to get their S#$% together, they've been feuding like forever".

"What is the argument about"?

"Who even remembers, it's been going on so long".

Brenda and Carl, the other two flight attendants ran down the isle, the liquor cart was in the way, blocking them. It took a while to clear the pathway, but they finally got past and managed to quell the small storm which had been brewing. "Girl on fire. Sung Alecia.

For every moment there is a song to be sung.

Peace and calm prevailed for a while, everyone finally quieted down and rested for an hour or so. Someone rang for coffee, the refreshment cart came out with hot beverage and juice. The activity started up again as food was being served. Laughter, friendly banter and a calm mealtime passed by slowly. After everything was cleared away, the pilot announced a half an hour to landing.

A final song was chosen, Celine Dion's "Immortality".

As the airplane came into it's last leg of the incredible and amazing journey, Jamie looked long and admiringly at the precious cargo in front of her, singing their hearts out. From now on she would pay just a little more attention to who was whom. She was glad that they had enjoyed themselves, if she were honest, she would admit that she did too.

These women, trailblazers who had come into their own, most of them fighting tooth and nail to become who they were. She felt a new respect and pride for them and for herself as a woman. She too had overcome some battles.

Jamie had to admit that in the end, she would not have missed this moment for anything in the world! She got a beautiful picture of the beautiful spirit of these most wonderful women. Oh yes, and she also got a snapshot as well.

She would treasure this moment!

A most unusual flight!
