Have you ever considered why women require feminism?
Why do women require separate compartments in trains and dedicated areas in public spaces?
Why are "women" regarded as "weak" in society?
I mean, I'm not going to start comparing men and women in situations where women have to go through pregnancy, go through agony, give birth, deal with period pains, deal with mood swings, and still keep a smile on her face... That is just nature..
But, more importantly, what about the workplace? Why should men and women be treated differently in the workplace?
Why do we think the company is safe, secure, and successful because it is led by a man?
Why is it so difficult for people to accept women in positions of leadership in organizations?
Why are women bossy if they assign you to your normal tasks? Why can't women take charge without being labelled as bossy?
Is it really necessary for society's mind process to perceive women being assertive, brave, and expressing their sentiments as "unsanskari"?
Only 53% of women are hired as entry-level employees, and only 19% rise through the ranks of an organization....
Have you ever wondered why this is happening?
Not only do women encounter challenges in society, but they also confront problems at home!
Some people quit their jobs because their parents, husbands, or in-laws have high expectations of them when it comes to housework.
I know that not everyone is like that, but in India, 75 percent of women face this problem... and are you curious about the rest?
Well. 60 percent of "working women" report sexual harassment at work, yet their complaints are rarely heard... So, how can you expect them to get to the top if others continue to pull them down...
Women have responsibilities at home; they don't all come to work to crack a few jokes and then go home to live their lives carefree; women have serious goals in life; they don't come out of the house to please a man's eye, they don't dress to catch a man's attention, and they don't smile to give men their consent!
Think about why women don't need feminism instead of tearing your throat over why women do. Do we constantly have to bring up the word feminism in order to be treated equally ?
Why should we name a woman a feminist if she expresses her views on equality and female rights in front of the society? Isn't she just a woman fighting for equal treatment?
Some women are afraid to speak out against harrasment in general since it leaves an impression on them and serves as a persistent reminder of their discomfort.
But the most important thing is making sure that they are heard when they speak up!
When your daughter complains about being harassed, make her feel at ease and educate her how to protect herself, rather than making her feel like it's her fault by forcing her to stay at home. This way, she'll never say "no" to harassment because raising her voice previously cost her "her freedom"... and now she'll be more afraid of losing her freedom than of being harassed by a stranger...
If you notice someone being harassed at work, take the appropriate action... don't ignore it... don't just comfort the lady and move on... make sure whoever did it is held accountable...
DO YOU THINK THIS IS ONLY Limited TO THE WORKPLACE?
Why do you think there aren't any ladies wandering alone in the streets during night?
Why are women afraid to take a cab home?
Why do we make people feel insecure while they're dressed comfortably?
Why should we judge our daughters for doing what they want when they are given the freedom to do so?
If your daughter has made a mistake in her life, let it go; only speak to her if she requests it; she will learn from her mistakes, and who knows... that mistake may teach her something that will make her life more beautiful... encourage her to trust her instincts rather than a stranger on the wedding floor... Don't hold her responsible for everything in her life; she didn't realize she was making a mistake until she made one!
"Lock your daughter's up"
How many of you find this comment offensive?
Feminism alone will not bring girls securely back to their homes... Some things should be taught to both men and women from the beginning of their youth, so that the next generation does not discriminate against people based on their gender.
Finally, your sons should not be overlooked. It makes no sense if you are a feminist and your son goes out untrained on how to handle women and begins harassing them!
