Depression as a woman

    The greatest strength of a woman lies in her ability to face the hardest tasks.

    Many are yet to properly define a woman because a woman is not just a human but can become a warrior, a keeper, a fighter, a mother, a sister, a friend and even sometimes an enemy.

    Greatest accolades to our mothers who have stood the test of time for their own.

    HERE IS A SHORT STORY ON WHAT A WOMAN CAN DO

    I was in high school, I had just gotten my first period and i never realized it, everyone in school kept staring at me and making terrible faces, it was a monday so i felt that just maybe everyone was pissed about the new week. ignorantly i kept walking towards class not until so many girls surrounded me and aided me to get to the restroom, And then i saw Tasha the schools bully and one of the fiercest ladies in school running towards me with some tampons and sanitary napkins asking me which one i'd prefer. That was when i realized that I had probably gotten my first period. very shy with my head bowed, I took the sanitary napkins and got changed. By the time i came out, there was a dress available for me to change into. I felt embarrassed but happy at the same time that this ladies stood by me despite so many difference amongst us. I felt motivated and happy that i was a woman.

    WHEN WOMEN STAND BY EACH OTHER, THE WORLD BECOMES A BETTER PLACE FOR ALL.

Depression can affect anyone, regardless of gender. However, there are some unique factors that can contribute to depression in women. Here are a few considerations:

Hormonal fluctuations: Women experience hormonal fluctuations throughout their lives, particularly during menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause. These hormonal changes can influence mood and contribute to the development or exacerbation of depression.

Postpartum depression: After giving birth, some women experience postpartum depression, which is characterized by feelings of sadness, anxiety, and exhaustion. It can be triggered by hormonal changes, sleep deprivation, and the challenges of adjusting to motherhood.

Social and cultural pressures: Women often face specific social and cultural pressures that can contribute to depression. These may include gender inequality, societal expectations related to appearance and body image, caregiving responsibilities, and the impact of gender-based violence or discrimination.

Trauma and abuse: Women are more likely to experience certain types of trauma, such as sexual assault and domestic violence, which can lead to depression and other mental health issues.

Double burden: Many women juggle multiple roles and responsibilities, such as work, childcare, household tasks, and caregiving for elderly family members. This increased workload can lead to stress, overwhelm, and an increased risk of depression.

The best way to overcome all this is through working on yourself and do the things you love. Be your own decider and walk in the path that makes you happy.

Here's a short story on how magdalene survived hers;

Magdalene was a single mom, her husband left her for another woman, she lost everything and still had to cater for her two kids.

She cried for days and wished for death to come take her. Then she slid into depression and anxiety. Her kids felt it, they tried so hard to help their mom to no avail. After months of struggling , She decided to work on herself and stay fit for her and her kids. she began making tiktoks and found happiness on social media. she learned a skill and slowly she recovered herself.

Women are the strongest beings on earth and they can fight anything that brings them down.

    Nice work, A woman is a main part of building a happy household life. So we should keep her away from any anxiety, depression, and troubles.
