I’m not the biggest fan of social media if I’m being honest. I much prefer the long format of traditional television rarely even watching YouTube videos under three minutes long. However to avoid acknowledging the ever looming entropy that is life I will sometimes brave venturing outside of my hobbit hole looking for a star who’s brightness can make me forget about the darkness for just a little while. If you have similar feelings, I would suggest seeing a therapist and working on your mental health. If doesn’t suite your fancy than I present to you Stanzi Potenza. A snazzy dresser who makes hilarious videos, across Youtube, TikTok and Instagram (Picture featured above.) Stanzi Potenza is definitely someone who if you haven’t been following you really should. If you don’t believe me I will spend the rest of this article telling you why…

Her videos

for starters and I cannot stress this enough, she is hilarious. If you take nothing else away from my rambling disguised as worth while content, know that. Her videos can be broken down into a few categories. She has several running skits, to name a few their is; Heaven & Hell, a comedic look at the running of both afterlives and the people in charge, Auntie Stan a cynical authority figure who gives some… interesting advice for children on the perils of growing up, Kidnapper which follows a kidnapper who routinely captures victims too… unique for him to accomplish what our protagonist set out to accomplish (I’m guessing torture and kill.), as well as others I’ll let you discover for yourself (Those are my personal favorites.). One of the great things about these continuing skits is you can see the characters evolve and grow before your eyes learning to love their quarks and wait with bated breathe for the next installment. That being said she isn’t afraid to do one off skits that are equally hilarious like a father using cancel culture to explain death to his son or a serial killer berated by his victims for not using the proper pronouns. To be honest it can be hard to summarize all of her content because their is just so damn much of it! Which is great for you newbies because that means you have a lot to look forward too.

Future fashion Icon (I think)

Full disclosure I have no fashion sense. If not for my wife I probably would still be dressed in high school rags. That being said I’m continuously impressed by how unique and original Stanzi Potenza’s outfits and makeup are. While not the part of her portfolio I necessarily find myself drawn to she also has several makeup tutorial videos and links to her outfits for those looking to imitate be inspired. She has even put out a jacket this holiday season (I’m envious of all you bastards who got btw.). My guess is their will be more merch in the coming years which excites even the fashion illiterate like me.

Not afraid to get real

While clearly a comedian thru and thru she isn’t afraid to show her vulnerable side. She has several videos detailing her struggles with epilepsy and self harm. The struggle of dealing with those issues and how she has found a way to stay positive and have a fulfilling life. She constantly seems to be putting out positive vibes and encouragement which is something I think all of us could use more of. Stanzi Potenza also isn’t afraid of clapping back at haters who hurl misogyny and other forms of hate her way. She often does this in a comedic and thought provoking way so it’s a double win for us all (Unless your the asshole talking shit but that’s kinda the point…). She also doesn’t mind making fun of her own tribe often poking fun at the gender pronouns and making fun of gym culture (Or the grind as she calls it.) which I think goes to further show her introspective side and keeps her down to earth and likeable. Never one to back down from a tough topic or virtual fist-a-cups makes every new video a potential surprise which is lovely. Almost like a one person SNL show.

Getting better & going farther

One of things that is amazing too see and very apparent when you go back and watch her older videos is how she always improving. Wether it’s her acting, cinematography, edits (I still am in aww of how she is every character yet seems so distinct, especially when you realize her whole thing is just clips of her talking to herself in front of a green screen.) it’s clear that she is not content to sit on her laurels but takes to heart criticism and takes her craft serious always refining and pushing herself. My bet is her constant striving for excellence will make her a tour de force in the coming years and I don’t think it’ll be long before we see her entering the big leagues and walking red carpets. Wouldn’t it be cool to say you started following her when she was just a TikTok star? I don’t know I think that would be cool, and give you an excuse to act smug to your friends which is always fun for me at least.

In conclusion…

I don’t know, stop reading this and go watch her stuff! Enjoy it, spread it around, send it to your fun family members. Or don’t and just send me a tip (Or at least send this article around.) so I can buy a hot chocolate because I live in the Pacific Northwest and it’s cold out right now…
