Last year of 2017 was filled with many unique and interesting trends such as the iconic fidget spinner, glossy lids and lips, squiggly eyebrows, 80s vintage vibes throwing itself forward, and the revolution of activated charcoal. It's up for debate whether 2017 was a year filled with positivity and useful items or if it was just a complete waste of a year, but that's where 2018 comes in! The anticipation for new trends are flooding the gates of society and here is a list of six trends for this year that will keep you ahead of the game.

No Register? No Problem.

Do you get tired and irritated when you have to wait in line at the grocery story to check out? Well, problem fixed! Amazon opened their first “no cashier” concept to the public in Seattle with their Amazon Go store. Basically the store lets customers take milk, potato chips, or ready-to-go meal containers, and walk right out of the store. The store uses computer vision, machine learning algorithms, and sensors to figure out what people are grabbing off its store shelves. So no more need to waste your time in line! With Amazon being a very successful company known to millions across the world, will other food based companies be following in its footsteps? Watch out, because sooner or later there will be no such thing as waiting in line.

Wide-Leg Joggers?

Who can complain about comfortable trends? With the wide-leg joggers trend making its break this year, 2018 maybe the year where everyone is killing it in comfort. Hailey Baldwin is a firm advocate in these flowy pants as she is seen in numerous occasions pairing these jogger with different tops and jackets. Has she started something that won't be able to stop? I guess we will have to give 2018 some time to roll out!

Round Line Edge!

Instead of creating the perfect winged eyeliner look that took you an hour to perfect, fill that bad boy in and smudge it a little. Seen on Bella Hadid at the Jason Wu show, that rounded outer corner will bring a sharp professional characteristic to your look! Next time you're doing your makeup, skip the precision and go wild!

Checkmate?

We're not talking about a chess board here. No, we're talking about the checker print phenomenon presented in the early stages of this year. It's no surprise by now that 2018 was hit with a storm of checkered print everywhere. From phone cases, to clothing, to walls and floors, checker print is becoming a basic need in every household. This pattern displays the easiest way how something with such simplicity can pack a full punch. Head out to your local beauty and hardware stores and load up on that checkered goodness!

These new and approved hair elastics will keep your hair up while giving you extra flair, turning heads left and right.
