1. Take Care of Your Lips

The lips are a prominent feature of our faces as women. It is often one of the first things that men notice on a woman's face. Lips have a lot of feeling in them and because of this can get irritated rather easily. Seasonal changes in the weather and random foods or drinks may be irritating the soft skin of your lips and you do not even know it. In the winter, some people get dry lips that form a red ring of dead skin around them. Then, they find themselves licking their lips more throughout the day to compensate for the dryness and only end up irritating them more. This vicious cycle can be a huge downer on your daily life. To stay on top of your lip softness and comfort game, try always having some medicated lip balm on hand. This will give your lips a drink of nourishment and also work on repairing the broken skin. You will never regret keeping one of these in your purse just in case.

2. Pay Attention To Your Gut

Your gut tends to run the show when it comes to hygiene. If you eat something that causes a lot of flatulence or even worse, diarrhea, you can thank your gut for making all that happen. Of course these functions serve a purpose when they happen, but you can take steps to help aid your gut so you do not find yourself running to the restroom as often and creating more potential hygiene issues! Probiotics are a great way to help your gut out. They are essentially bacteria and yeast that are good for you. Yes, bacteria is often regarded as something you should stay away from but it turns out that you need good bacteria in order for your gut to digest food efficiently. So, if you take a probiotic supplement once a day, you can up your gut hygiene game.

3. Lather Up

Keeping yourself clean is important to do. The best and most effective way to do this is to incorporate healthy soaps that have no harmful fragrances or substances in them into your hygiene routine. Soaps with weird ingredients that you can not pronounce have a tendency to cause rashes or even to bioaccumulate in your body's systems and lead to a wide variety of really bad health problems. Castile soap is great to use in the shower as a body wash and even as hand soap as it typically does not have any harsh or harmful ingredients! And always remember, when cleaning your feminine area, only clean on the outside of your body.

4. Wear Cotton Underwear

This one may be embarrassing to discuss, but it is very important. When you are sweating, sleeping or even just going about your day, your feminine area needs to be able to breath. This is why you should invest in some organic cotton underwear and wear it as often as you can.

5. Brush Everyday

Brushing your teeth can be monotonous and easy to forget. But that does not mean it is not important. Your oral health will ensure bodily health. It will also ensure that people do not stand four feet away from you because your breath stinks! Brush your teeth everyday at least once a day but preferably twice. It pays off in the long run for your breath, teeth and the rest of your body.

Feminine hygiene can be tricky territory but is very important to talk about. As a woman, keeping yourself clean and fresh is important for a number of reasons, especially including keeping your confidence up. Remember to take care of your body and it will take care of you!
