You Just Got Served: NLCS Edition

More thoughts about the Los Angeles Dodgers after being swept by the Milwaukee Brewers

By Mark Wesley Pritchard Published 7 days ago • 3 min read

The Milwaukee Brewers are currently enjoying some rest and relaxation before they play either the Cleveland Guardians or Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series beginning on October 23. No matter which team goes against them, one of these teams will win their first rings. The National League champions head to the Fall Classic for the first time since 1982 after sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, pulling a monumental upset. Jake Bauers, who was named NLCS MVP, was outstanding during the seven-game series. Now, they have one final test they'll try to attempt: winning a World Series title. That would mean the entire world to Brewers fans and the organization. They gave the Dodgers the biggest reality check and also, a large spanking. The Brewers refused to be bullied by them. According to someone on X, the world was finally healing. The Dodgers Fatigue has finally subsided.

The Dodgers really thought that they could play these stupid mind games and intimidate other teams. They thought they were going to continue to be the big dogs of the National League this year. What they did to the Brewers in last year's NLDS had the same thing done to them in return Thursday night. Small world, isn't it? The Dodgers got ultimately exposed and humbled by the Brewers. Being swept by them showed that the world didn't revolve around them or Shohei Ohtani. There's no place for entitled behavior in the Postseason. I've been the harshest, unapologetic critic of this team for the last few years. I could go on for hours about their numerous controversies, but one thing is for sure: a 100-win season didn't automatically guarantee them of a World Series appearance or title in 2026. They'll be 100% to blame for the potential lockout on December 1 if a deal isn't made. They're major opportunists, selfish, egotistical, greedy, and a huge gatekeeper of Japanese talent. Their outrageous spending and taking advantage of the rest of the teams in MLB must be stopped. The Dodgers aren't building talent, they are buying it and championships, too.

Tarik Skubal left the Detroit Tigers for the Dodgers to feed and boost his own ego, not to try to win a World series title. I'll never respect a player who abandoned their previous team and organization who loved and supported him. To me, he's a traitor and I'll never acknowledge him as a two-time Cy Young Award winner. That's the ultimate act of betrayal. Blake Snell is no different, either. I used to like him, but after he joined the Dodgers, I refused to acknowledge him as a World Series champion. Both men are the worst kind of players in the league and also losers. I've always had a huge dislike of the Dodgers and been open about it in previous stories. There's nothing wrong with winning. It's their selfish mindset behind it is what I have an issue with. They're a Postseason nuisance, always causing problems for other teams, and can't be trusted. My mission at the beginning of the regular season was to ensure that what I called "The Dodgers Agenda" didn't continue to be a thing, especially during the Postseason. In other words, there's 29 other teams in Major League Baseball and everything is not always about them. Stop shoving this overrated team down our throats!

Finally, let's talk about Shohei Ohtani. After the 2025 season, I officially disowned him altogether because to me, he was acting even more entitled, spoiled, and displayed a level of arrogance, as if everyone had to worship the ground he walked on. I refused to bow down to a player who thinks that the world owes him something. He always felt the need to be the main character in other player's moments. We need to normalize not liking him and not continuing to coddle him. He's not innocent, nor a saint. You never saw Yu Darvish, Shota Imanaga, or Ichiro display the same kind of behaviors like Shohei. I have respect for these three players, because they don't beg for acceptance, appreciation was earned from fans and didn't display senses of entitlement. This is how a player should carry themselves. Not by being perfect, but by having character and respect for oneself.

Los Angeles Dodgers! You just got served!
