Georgia Tech 67 - Miami 56

Guard Kierra Fletcher and center Nerea Hermosa scored 15 points each as Georgia Tech improved to 12-5 in a win over ACC foe Miami. Hermosa made seven-of-nine shots, while Fletcher knocked down half of her 12 attempts from the field.

The Yellow Jackets almost got a triple-double from guard Lotta-Maj Lahtnen. She had 10 assists, nine points and seven rebounds. Georgia Tech got 14 points from forward Lorela Cubaj, who also had seven rebounds to go with three assists and a block.

Miami had one double-digit scorer as Karla Erjavec scored 13 points on five-of-eight shooting to go along with five assists.

Villanova 98 - Butler 74

Sophomore forward Maddy Siegrist's 24 points and four steals led Villanova (12-3) to a victory over Butler. Siegrist is averaging 22 points per game and has scored at least 23 points in four of her last six contests. Villanova freshman Lior Garzon scored 17 points, giving her at least 15 or more points in her last three outings. Garzon is averaging nine points per game in her first collegiate season.

Forwards Brianna Herlihy and Sarah Mortensen had 16 points each for the Wildcats. Butler dropped to 1-15, but got a strong showing from forward Okako Adika who had 19 points and five rebounds. The six-foot junior leads Butler in scoring at 13.5 points, rebounds (5.9) and three-point shooting (41 percent).

UNLV 72 -San Diego State 71

Just one day after blowing out San Diego State by 15 on Feb. 16, UNLV (13-8) inched by their opponent for a second road win in as many days.

Forward Desi-Rae Young scored 20 points and hauled down 12 rebounds for UNLV. Guard Nia Johnson also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both players struggled shooting from the field, going a combined 10-of-35, but they helped UNLV win the rebounding battle 52-31. Mercedes Staples led San Diego State (5-14) with 16 points. She made seven-of-14 shots. The Aztecs were led in assists by Sophia Ramos who had 10 dimes.

Troy 91 - Georgia State 70

Tyasia Moore came off of the bench to score 20 points and grab 10 rebounds as she led Troy (15-5) to victory over host Georgia State. Moore scored 20 points for the second time this season, while shooting a perfect six-for-six from the free-throw line. It was her second double-double of the season. The six-foot senior forward is averaging 10.4 points per game.

Fellow senior Janiah Sandifer of Troy scored 19 points. The guard also made an impact from the free-throw line as she drained eight-of-10 free-throws. Sandifer is averaging a career best 10.5 points per game. Another senior reserve, Jhileiya Dunlap made a difference in the game. In 15 minutes the six-foot-two forward had a game high four blocks to go along with seven points and five rebounds. She has had nine blocks in the last three games.

Georgia State slipped to 10-8. Both Taylor Hosendove and Elexus Bell led the Panthers with 15 points. Bell came off of the bench to score her points, shooting a perfect six-for-six.

Feb. 15, 2021

DePaul 82 - Seton Hall 76

Seton Hall guard Lauren Park-Lane had a strong effort with 24 points but it wasn't enough as DePaul duo Dee Bekelja and Sonya Morris combined for 42 points to get their team over the hump.

Bekelja posted 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Morris had 20 points, six rebounds and five assists. Bekelja registered her second double-double of the season and her third game with as much as 22 points. She matched her season high with 10 made field goals, making 66.7 percent of her shot attempts. DePaul improved to 12-4 as Seton Hall fell to 9-6.
