National Players of the Week

The games that are considered for National Players of the Week range from Feb. 5 - Feb. 11.

Peyton Scott - Miami (OH) - Sophomore - Guard

This 5-8 sophomore guard, scored 34 points on Feb. 6 against Kent, where she hit 14-of-25 shots. Peyton Scott held her own in a shootout against Central Michigan. Senior Micaela Kelly scored 37 points and Scott posted 31, in a three-point loss.

Miami is having a rough year at 2-15, but Scott offers hope for the future. She is averaging 21.2 points per game and has scored at least 30 points four times including three straight times from Feb. 3 - Feb. 10.

Taylor Williams - Western Michigan - Sophomore - Forward

On Feb. 10, Taylor Williams tied a school record with one of the top performances in all of college basketball this season. Williams scored 30 points on 14-of-23 shooting in a win over Akron. She also grabbed a school record 21 rebounds. She also had three steals, two blocks and two assists.

Four days before, Williams had 16 points and 12 rebounds against Central Michigan. She has had three straight double-doubles in her last three games. Williams is the leader for Western Michigan in rebounds with an average of 9.8. She also paces the team in steals at 1.6 thefts per game. She has recorded seven double-doubles this season.

Kionna Jeter - Towson - Senior - Guard

At 5-8, Kionna Jeter is third in the nation in scoring at 26.2 points per game. Jeter had her most explosive week of the season from Feb. 6-10. On Feb. 6, she scored 28 points with four steals in a 90-81 win over College of Charleston. The next night against the same opponent she dropped a season high 37 points when she made six-of-12 three-point shots in an 84-63 win.

She wrapped the three-game stretch up with 31 points, making six-of-13 threes in an 83-74 win. Jeter has scored at least 30 points four times this season. She hasn't scored less than 24 points since the start of the new year. Last year she averaged 18 points and shot 39 percent. This year her scoring average is up eight points and she is shooting a career high 45 percent.

Cameron Brink - Stanford - Freshman - Forward

This freshman is playing a key role on the nation's fifth ranked squad. Stanford is 15-2 and Brink is first on the team in blocks (2.7), shooting percentage (.602) and offensive rebounds (2.5).

On Feb. 5, she put up a season best six blocks to go along with 13 points and eight rebounds in a win against Colorado. On Feb. 7, Brink posted 12 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. Brink is 15th in the nation in blocks per game and has blocked four shots in a game six times this season. She had her best scoring stretch from Dec. 13 - Jan. 1, when she had five straight games with 10 or more points.

Dariauna Lewis - Alabama A&M - Junior - Forward

A 6-1 forward from Omaha, Nebraska, Dariauna Lewis is having an amazing season with averages of 15.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. On Feb. 6, she scored 16 points and grabbed a season high 17 rebounds against Mississippi Valley State. Her team routed its opponents 81-43. On Feb. 8 Lewis scored 18 points with 12 rebounds to go along with one block and a steal in a 76-69 win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

Over her last five games, Lewis has recorded five-straight double-doubles. She is tied for ninth in the nation with a shooting percentage of .604.
