First Team

Deja Winters - North Carolina A&T - Senior - Forward

This 5-11 native of Cleveland, Ohio, was the leading scorer on the MEAC's regular season championship squad. Deja Winters averaged 14.4 points per game which was a career high. She also averaged two steals per game. She led the conference with 42 made threes.

Chanin Scott - North Carolina A&T - Senior - Guard

Chanin Scott shared the lead with an average of 14.4 points per game at North Carolina A&T. She played in one less game so she was second on the team in total points. Scott led the squad in rebounding (8.3) and steals per game (2.5).

Sean Kelly Darks - North Carolina A&T - Freshman - Guard

North Carolina A&T will miss seniors Winters and Scott but it's future is in good hands with freshman Sean Kelly Darks. She was a solid third scorer at 11.1 points per game but she also gave the Aggies a third perimeter defender as she snatched 2.1 steals per game.

Anzhane' Hutton - Howard - Freshman - Forward

At 6-0, this forward was second in the MEAC in rebounding, pulling down 9.2 boards per game. Hutton had eight games with 10 or more rebounds. She scored 11.9 points and blocked 1.4 shots per contest.

Anissa Rivera - North Carolina Central - Sophomore - Forward

A 6-1 forward, Anissa Rivera put up big numbers with averages of 15.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. While her shooting percentage (36.6 percent) was a bit low, there is no disputing the other things she did on the court. Rivera led the MEAC in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots (3.2)

Player of the Year: Chanin Scott, North Carolina A&T

Second Team

Jayla Thornton - Howard - Senior - Guard

Thornton led Howard in scoring, averaging 14.5 points per game. The Bison took second place in the MEAC, as the 5-10 Newark, New Jersey native made the second most three-pointers in the conference nailing 40 triples.

Iyanna Warren - Howard - Sophomore - Guard

At 5-3, Iyanna Warren led the MEAC in assists with 5.1 dimes per game. She also had an average of 10.8 points per contest. Warren's 28 steals were the most for Howard this season.

Dahnye Reed - Morgan State - Senior - Forward

Dahnye Reed was sixth in the MEAC in scoring with a team leading 13.4 points per game. She and the Morgan State Bears placed third with an 8-2 conference finish. Reed was also fifth in the MEAC with an average of 7.3 rebounds per game.

Mangela Ngandjui - Norfolks State - Senior - Forward

The transfer from UNC-Greensboro averaged a near double-double. Mangela Ngandjui posted a career best 11.4 points and 9.5 rebounds this season. She also had an average of 1.6 steals per game.

Ja'Niah Henson - Morgan State - Sophomore - Guard

Only the second player at 5-3 to be honored this season, she made a difference for Morgan State by averaging 1.8 steals per game. She also was a consistent shooting threat making 36.7 percent of her three-point attempts and scoring 11.7 points per game.

All-Defense

Anissa Rivera - North Carolina Central - Sophomore - Forward

Chanin Scott - North Carolina A&T - Senior - Guard

Deja Winters - North Carolina A&T - Senior - Forward

Jayla Jones-Pack - North Carolina A&T - Senior - Center/Forward

When it came to protecting the basket, nobody did it better for the first place North Carolina A&T Aggies. Jones-Pack swatted 2.4 shots per game and collected 6.8 rebounds as well.

E'lexus Davis - Norfolk State - Senior - Guard

E'Lexus Davis' feisty defense led the charge for Norfolk State. She averaged 2.1 steals per game, recording at least two thefts in all but three games this season.

Defensive Player of the Year: Chanin Scott, North Carolina A&T

Freshman of the Year: Sean Kelly Darks, North Carolina A&T

Coach of the Year: Tarrell Robinson, North Carolina A&T

Coach Robinson has led his program to its fourth regular season championship in five years. The Aggies were fifth in the NCAA in rebounds and steals at the end of the regular season.
