Da Bears!

Try imagining being a Chicago Bears fan right now.

That's the pain we all felt today. To be honest I had a little hope in them. I hoped they would turn over the corner. I shouldn't have thought much of them.

If you are not familiar with our plight here's the scoop. For years we have had mediocre quarterbacks. Or we will have QB's that were decent and could take us far but majority of the time they played as if they did not want to be there. Jay Cutler is the player that comes to mind. He gave us a shot and was a solid player but I had the sense that he did not give us his all. The hiring of Marc Trestman tainted Culter's career a bite too. If he was under Nagy, I think he would have done better and possibly had a shot at a a tittle run.

The recent problems started when we passed up both Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson in their respective draft class. Mahomes went tenth and Watson went twelfth in the drat. Both of them as all of us football watchers know, have balled out since coming into the league.

With the second pick of the 2017 draft who did the Bears pick? Not Mahomes or Watson... we picked Mitchell Turbisky from North Carolina. I remember how mad people were by the pick. I was taken back because I just seen Watson go off against Alabama earlier in Janurary but I wanted to give Mitch a chance.

The reason I gave him a chance was because of Kristaps Porziņģis. When New York Knicks selected Porziņģis in 2015, the fans were furious and had little knowledge of the European player. He took the lead by surprised and is a great big man in the NBA, despite his injuries.

Mitchell did good in his first year. The Bears were on fire and not messing around. I thought we finally made it over the hump until the missed kick by Cody Parkey. I'm sorry to do this to y'all but it's a sports article, grab some tissue...

Nagy couldn't even believe it. You see his face. And I can't believe how this is year three and still no great quarterback. Mitchell lost his confidence and is so - so. I like Nick Foles but he is getting up there in age and I do not believe he can lead us deep.

Now, let's back track a bit. Last year before the season Cam Newton was coming off of an injury and was a free agent. If you did not pay attention to the grind he was putting in, that man was working. I felt motivated just from watching his black and white work outs on Instagram.

Watch this...

Now listen, we passed up a vet that has proved himself on the field and would have been a great piece to the team and went and got Foles. This is my opinion but I would have went for Newton. That's not the worse part. Hold up we are about to get to that.

Today, the Bears chose their new QB. They went out to get Andy Dalton not for 1, 2, but a 10 million year deal. So, they have a chance to get Watson and Wilson (Seahawks was like nawl buddy) and they chose Dalton.

Dalton is not a terrible player and has some decent stats but he is not better than Watson, Mahomes, Wilson, or Newton. This started in the 2017 draft like I stated earlier, when we chose Mitch and the hole is getting deeper. Then we passed up Newton for Foles and now we just throwing away 10 mil like it's a stimulus check free for all.

The problem is not the Bears, it's the front office. 97-year - old Virginia McCaskey is the owner of the Bears and their matriarch. She is the daughter of the Bears founder George Halas. Change is inevitable but change can be halted as long as you refuse to change.

That is what I see with the Bears; refusal to change. Our defense can be the Monsters of the Midway and can have black coach in Lovie Smith, a Brain Urlacher, Kahil, and so forth. We can have a powerful ofense with a Muhsin, a Forte, Thomas Jones, Brandon Marshall, Olson, and the list goes on and on. But who is the key piece of the team? Who is the point guard.

The quarterback is.

The McCaskey's are not going to change for a long time. We might get a black coach, but we will not get a black all - star QB. We will entertain the thought because oh no our faithful fans are going to leave if we don't.

I do not even remember all the starting quarterbacks we had in my lifetime. Brain Grease, Grossman, Orton, Cutler, Mark Sanchez, Hoyer. And when we get a black QB like I said they are not the top in the game. At least Sanchez is Hispanic and lite enough to pass for the Bears Standard.

Out of the 84 bears quarterbacks we have had since the NFL started the Bears have only had four black starting quarterbacks. Kordell Stewart, Henry Burns, Jason Campbell, and Jeff Blake. I vaguely remember Campbell playing for us in the 2012. Over the course of his career he threw 87 touchdowns and had 60 interceptions. Keep in mind he played 9 seasons.

Deshuan Watson has played four seasons and has thrown 104 touchdowns and 36 interceptions. The gunslinger pitcher quarterback phenom Patrick Mahomes has even greater stats. We're not counting his first year since he only played one game and threw an interception. So in the three other years he threw 114 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. Now to wrap up it all up Mitch the guy taken second overall in the 2017 drat threw 64 touchdowns and 37 interceptions in a four year time span.

As you see from the Campbell example, the Bears will take sub - par black quarterbacks and pass up those that will win us a chip. If we had Patrick when we played the Eagles, we making it to the Super Bowl. We would not be down to the final kick if he was there and the same goes for Watson.

If you have seen this years Super Bowl this year despite the pressure, Pat made pinpoint passes that his receivers dropped and you know Mitch is not doing that. Also you see my point that the Bears front office wants the power and are not letting Negro's into the house is their specialty.

It isn't the 60's anymore, it's not the 1800's. Time changes but the Bears front office keeps refusing.

Russell Wilson about to drop a dub (that means twenty for the geeks in the back) or 50 on us. Mark my word, when it happens come back to this article and send me some love by tipping me a dub.
