Queens University 57, Toccoa Falls 34

Transfer guard Kasey Kidwell collected her first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds leading her team to a 23-point home win.

Kidwell also pitched in with five steals and five assists, pacing her team in five categories including 33 minutes played. She is averaging a career best 10.8 points per game after a four-year career at Austin Peay. Kidwell came over to help Queens adjust to its first Division I season of NCAA competition. Queens improved to 4-2 on the season. The Royals defense was too much for Toccoa forcing 26 turnovers and limiting the visitors to a 26.4 shooting percentage.

Ohio 74, Indiana 62

After a rough start to the season, Ohio (1-4) collected its first win 74-62 over host Indiana State (2-2).

Caitlyn Kroll had her best offensive effort of the year posting 19 points. The senior guard drained five of her nine three-point shots while also grabbiing six rebounds and dishing out five assists. This was Kroll's second straight game with five assists. In the last two contests Kroll has dished out 10 assists opposed to only four turnovers. As a team Ohio had 19 assists and 12 turnovers. YaYa Felder led the team with nine assists. She nearly had a triple-double with 15 points and nine boards as well.

Purdue 71, Oklahoma State 65

Lasha Petree continues her great start at Purdue (6-1). She scored 20 points with six rebounds, three assists and two steals during a win over Oklahoma State (6-2) in Cancun, Mexico. Petree has scored no less than 13 points in each of her first seven contests. This was her third time scoring at least 20 points this season. The six-foot guard from Detroit is averaging a career best 18.2 points after her first seven games at Purdue. Her previous career high was 18 points per game during the 2020-21 season when she competed at Bradley. A big difference from then and now is that she only shot 39 percent from the field in 2020-21. This season she is shooting 51.5 percent overall.

Nebraska 73, Mississippi State 65 OT

Jaz Shelley played big time basketball, leading Nebraska to a tough home overtime win. The Australian point guard scored a season high 32 points with eight assists. She also shot 7-12 from beyond the three-point arc. Shelley entered the game averaging just 9.7 points per game, while shooting a career low 33.3 percent in her first six games of the year. Those numbers were down compared to her scoring average of 13.1 and a shooting clip of 42.5 percent from last season.

Despite committing 22 turnovers, Nebraska won the game by making 12 of its 30 three-point shots, as Mississippi State shot a lowly 3-13 from long distance. Nebraska also outrebounded the Bulldogs 40-33. Center Alexis Markowski hauled down 15 boards to pace the Cornhuskers.

UNLV 74, Geroge Washington 63

Desi-Rae Young lifted host UNLV to victory with 24 points, 13 rebounds, one block and a steal. The 6-1 center who plays college ball in her hometown posted season highs in scoring and rebounding while collecting her second double-double of the season. Young is averaging 16.8 points and 9.1 rebounds after six contests.

UNLV outrebounded the Colonials 41-31. The Rebels also limited the visitors to six assists while forcing 15 turnovers. UNLV had 16 assists and 12 turnovers.
