Jasha Clinton - Temple
Over her first two seasons Jasha Clinton has averaged 10.1 points per game at Temple. She averaged a career best 14.4 points per game as a freshman during the 2020-21 season. Last season the 5-8 guard from Virginia Beach, Virginia saw her numbers slip to 6.4 points per game, but she had some moments last season that stood out. Clinton scored 24 points while shooting 10-15 from the field against Saint Joseph's. Clinton is also a good distributor. She dished out 10 assists against East Carolina. She did the same against Florida Gulf Coast as well. Clinton dropped nine more dimes against Northwestern. Last season she averaged 3.6 assists. During her first season she posted an average of 4.1 assists per game. She holds her own on defense as well with 74 steals in 48 career contests.
Kasey Kidwell - Queens University of Charlotte
After four seasons at Austin Peay, Kasey Kidwell is giving it a go at Queens. She brings NCAA Division I experience to a program that is in its first year on that level. The 5-9 guard from Asheville, North Carolina shot career bests 40 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from long range. In an early season win over Butler, she posted 12 points on 4-7 shooting, along with four rebounds. Kidwell shot 5-7 in another 12-point effort against Tennessee-Martin. In her final victory at Austin Peay, Kidwell scored 11 points while making two of her five three-point attempts in a win over Furman during the Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament. Kidwell had three or more steals in four games last season.
Emerita Mashaire - Buffalo
Emerita Mashaire continues her collegiate career at Buffalo after a freshman season at Cincinnati. She played limited minutes during her rookie year, averaging 2.5 points in just 10.9 minutes per game. Mashaire provided Cincinnati with a surprise performance. In a 26-minute appearance, the six-foot forward from Helsinki, Finland scored a career high 19 points. Mashaire caught fire from three where she hit five of her seven shots from beyond the three-point arc. A real three-point threat, Mashaire hit both of her triples against Ole Miss early in the season. She scored six points while grabbing a season's best seven boards, with two assists and a steal in that game. In her final game as a Bearcat, Mashaire scored nine points while snatching a season high three steals against Houston in the first round of the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
Janay Turner - Longwood
Janay Turner had her first NCAA Divsion I season at Norfolk State last season after a very productive junior college stint at Daytona State, where she averaged 15.4 points per game after two seasons. For Norfolk State, Turner was a reserve who averaged five points per game. Turner had her best offensive performance in a win against Delaware State. The 5-8 guard from Chicago, Illinois scored 20 points with four rebounds. She shot 8-13 during that performance. Two days before she scored 17 points on 5-7 shooting in another win against Maryland-Eastern Shore. In both of those games Turner shot a combined 8-15 from three-point land. Turner will compete this season for Longwood.
