Emoni Bush - Washington

Emoni Bush is a 6-3 outside hitter at University of Washington. From Cambell River, Canada, Bush's numbers have improved early in her second season. She recorded a .458 hitting percentage with 12 kills and a career best 11 digs in a four-set win over Arkansas on Aug. 27. On Sept. 9, Bush recorded a career high 17 kills in a five-set win over Cal Poly. After her first five matches of the season Bush is averaging 2.67 kills per set, up from 2.21 as a freshman last season. Her hitting percentage has improved from .147 to .274.

Treyaunna Rush - North Texas

Treyaunna Rush of North Texas is off to a strong start this season. The transfer who played three seasons at Texas A&M is leading her new team with an average of 3.84 kills per set. An opposite hitter from Texarkana, Texas, Rush posted a season high 26 kills and 12 digs on a .350 hitting percentage agianst Providence, Sept. 2. The 6-1 standout recorded 20 kills the previous match against Stephen F. Austin, Aug. 30. After a slow 1-4 start, North Texas has won four of its last three matches. On Sept. 6, She hit a season best .400 with 10 kills in a three-set win over Texas Southern.

Janell Fitzgerald - Texas State

A 6-1 outside hitter from Mansfield, Texas, Janell Fitzgerald is having her best career season thus far. Fitzgerald is averaging career bests with 3.50 kills per set while hitting .336. She is also averaging a career best 2.84 digs per set. Fitzgerald started the season with 18 kills and 11 digs, hitting .593 in a four-set win over Houston Baptist. She matched her season high of 18 kills against Ole Miss on Sept. 9. In a win against Wake Forest on Sept. 11, Fitzgerald posted her fifth double-double of the season with 14 kills and 13 digs in a three-set win where she hit .524.

Morgan Hartman - Otterbein

Ohio NCAA Division III power Otterbein has gotten off to a 9-1 start. All-American Morgan Hartman leads the team at 3.35 kills per set. A 5-10 junior from Lancaster, Ohio, Hartman has posted three double-doubles so far this season, including a 17-kill, 17-dig effort in a five-set win over Carnegie Melon, Sept. 2. She matched her season high of 17-digs five days later while posting 12 digs in another five-set win, this time against Denison. Over her first three seasons Hartman has averaged 3.78 kills, with a total of 783 kills in 207 sets played over 61 matches.

Skyla Childs - Prairie View

Skyla Childs is a 5-6 defensive specialist/libero at Prairie View. A senior from Cypress, Texas, Childs collected a season high 28 digs in a five-set win over Lamar University. It was her highest number of digs in a contest since her freshman season in 2019 when she posted 31 digs in a five-set match against Cal St. Fullerton. Over her career, Childs has 1,302 digs in 329 sets played over 100 matches.

Malaya Jones - Colorado State

From Santa Ana, California, Malya Jones is a 6-0 middle blocker at Colorado State. After her first eight matches she leads her team with an average of 3.31 kills per set during her first collegiate season. Previously at USC where she sat out in 2020. Last season Jones sate out due to transfer rules. Jones is paced Colorado State with 19 kills in a four-set win against in-state rival Colorado. During her career debut on Aug. 26, she posted 12 kills in a four-set win over North Carolina at home in front of 5,962 fans.
