Trae Young is officially a SUPERSTAR

Hawks rip Game 1 from the heart of Milwaukee

Game 1

Atlanta Hawks: 116

Milwaukee Bucks: 113

Here we go again. That's three straight Game ones with the Hawks playing as the undisputed underdogs, and that's three straight game one wins for the Hawks. Time and time again we have gone into the series with nobody on our side and everyone doubting us, and we continue to prove everybody wrong. I love it.

Last night was the most fun I've had watching a game this postseason. Trae Young is a super star, John Collins plays with the confidence of a 10 year veteran with 5 rings, and Clint Capella continues to show that he's one of the best centers in the league even with his height disadvantage compared to Giannis. It's amazing what the Hawks are doing, game after game they are showing that you don't need to be the most hyped up team in the regular season and you don't have to form a super team in the off season to make a run in the playoffs. They are doing it the right way. Playing full team basketball. Obviously Trae Young is the head man. He's emerged as a superstar with 48 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds: just ridiculous numbers for anybody but its even crazier given the fact that he's the youngest and smallest player on the court. His confidence is off the charts. This man is the boldest player I've ever seen. Its Game 1 in the Eastern Conference finals against a Goliath of a team and he threw an alley oop off the backboard and did a shimmy before a deep three in the face of someone who was a foot taller than him all within the span of like 2 minutes (or something). I don't know how he does it. I'm scared to shoot an open three in my pickup games because I don't want to look like a ball hog. Maybe that's why I'm not in the NBA though.

Anyway, yes Trae Young deserves so much credit, but you cant forget about the other guys. John Collins is my favorite player in the world right now. The way he plays is so fun to watch and any time he's in the game its like there's a stability that the rest of the team can fall back on. Trae Young and John Collins are a match made in heaven, and it feels good to finally see them getting the credit they deserve.

Now, Game 2 is Friday. Last night was HUGE for us to get a head start in the series but it would be even better if we could shock literally everyone and go up 2-0 on the road. Like I said earlier, we have won every Game 1. But unfortunately we've been unable to follow those wins up in game 2. So maybe we could flip the narrative for this one. How bout it??

I do have one complaint about the last night thought....Where was Quavo. C'mon big guy. If you want to be known as the token celebrity/rapper fan of the Atlanta Hawks you have to go to EVERY playoff game. I know Wisconsin might not be as cool as New York or Philly, but you have to be willing to make those kinds of sacrifices. I expect more from him in Game 2. Because Jack Harlow has also been to every game so in my opinion, whoever makes the trip to Milwaukee first will be granted to position. Jack Harlow is one of my favorite rappers so honestly I'd rather it be him. These are the kind of important topics ESPN analyst need to start covering.

Alright, getting that win last night has me feeling so much better about this series and I cannot wait for Friday. This series is gonna be a classic.
