Track & Field 2k21: European U20 Championships Recap
(Above photo by @athletix_ch on Instagram) Adeleke, Ilic, Eze finish top three in Euro U20, 100 meters Ireland's Rhasidat Adeleke won the gold in the 100 meters at the European Athletics U20 Championships on July 16 in Tallin, Estonia. Adeleke was victorious with a time of 11.34, ahead of Ivana Ilic of Serbia who crossed the finish line at 11.42. Joy Eze, 17, the event's youngest competitor was third at 11.44.

Houston, You Have a Problem...and No One Feels Sorry for You
As the old saying goes, "Whenever the Houston Astros suck, an angel gets their wings." We all had so much fun watching the Astros get swept in their season opening series against the New York Yankees, didn't we? I know I was enjoying it. I have immense schadenfreude when it comes to the team who has basically been baseball's equivalent of the Brady/Belichick Patriots. However, with that celebration came a reality: it's only the first four games. The Astros had 158 of these things left. It would be a matter of time before we'd be hideously annoyed by them again. They did pitch a no-hitter right after the Yankees punched them in the mouth, so that appeared to be the start of the whole "Oh no, not again" Astros returning.

But the intermittent nastiness of the precipitation was nothing compared to the biting sting of the John Jay offensive attack.

CHAPTER 15 I pulled up in front of Sandy’s a little early, so I texted Becca again and left a message for Sharon, hoping she had a good day and I’d see her tomorrow. Two cars pulled into Sandy’s driveway. I don’t know why I was surprised to see another man with her. We’d been apart for two years and I certainly didn’t waste any time getting back on the horse.
