With the track and field season coming to a close, let's take a look and see what some of our favorite athletes did around the nation on the college level. That's right, we said our favorites. Why? Because sometimes we have a hard time providing coverage to a lot of athletes due to the face that we only have so many hours in a day to produce content. So here's to our favorite performers and how they did last weekend.

Paige Magee

Iowa freshman Paige Magee had a promising weekend at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. She ran her personal best time of 13.17, which was second during the prelim round of the 100-meter hurdles. It is also the 10th fastest freshman time in all of the NCAA. Magee placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles final at 13.28. She is wrapping up a strong freshman season with a conference title in the 60-meter hurdles during indoor season. She also participated in the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles during this year's outdoor Big Ten meet.

Cierra Pyles

Ohio State's Cierra Pyles reached her personal best mark at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. She placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.71. A few weeks before Pyles began her late season surge when she jumped 12.58, which was a runner-up finish at the Ohio State Jesse Owens Invitational, April 30. In 2019, she placed fifth at the Big Ten championships in the triple jump. This season she scored eight points with her second place finish which were vital as Ohio State outscored Indiana 117-109 for first place at the Big Ten meet.

Jumyia Denning

After years of grinding and a transfer, Jumyia Denning found herself with a gold medal at a conference championship meet. Now at Morehead State, Denning was a part of the foursome that captured the Ohio Valley Conference championship in the 400-meter relay at a time of 45.36. She and her teammates Teliyah James, Lucia Herrero-Yanez and Kenia Seals squeaked out a win over second place Eastern Illinois that crossed the finish line at 45.37. Denning's former school Eastern Kentucky was third at 45.78. Denning, whose collegiate career kicked off in the 2017-18 season, is enjoying her most successful outdoor season in relay action. Her 400-meter relay squads have captured wins at the Margaret Simmons Invite, 2021 Joey Haines Invite and Clark Wood Invitational.

Jadyn Mays

Freshman Jadyn Mays earned her first conference title as a member of Oregon's 400-meter relay team at the PAC-12 Track & Field Championships. She teamed with Kemba Nelson, Jasmin Reed and Danyel White to record a time of 42.87, which is the fourth best time in the NCAA this season. Mays also qualified for the 100 meters finals and recorded a fourth place finish of 11.47. This was only Mays' third outdoor collegiate meet. She was a part of her first win in her second meet at the Desert Heat Classic, when she and her teammates won the 400-meter relay at 42.97. She also placed second in the 100 meters (11.41) and fifth in the 200 meters (23.28).

Alexa Webster

Remember when we did an interview with Alexa Webster right after she announced that she would be attending Oregon? The freshman competed in her first PAC-12 Track & Field Championships meet scoring points for her team in the 1,600-meter relay, placing fourth with Megan Bolton, Gabriella Beauvais and Iman Brown. She also scored points as she competed in the finals finishing seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (13.68) and eighth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:00.79). She helped Oregon earn a second place finish for the conference meet.
