The first round of the 200 meters at the United States Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, will occur on Thursday. We made a lot of noise about the 100 meters last week and the field of the 200 meters is even more exciting.

We are going to have some fun and make some predictions on who will survive the first round and advance to the semifinal. We will also pick the qualifiers for the Olympic team and the overall winner. A disclaimer, this is for entertainment purposes, however if we are right, you better know that we are going to come back talking mad (expletive). Are you guys ready? We are. Here we go.

These will be the next six finishers:

Allyson Felix, Morolake Akinosun, Kayla White, Brittany Brown, Kyra Jefferson, Caisja Chandler

Predicting the winner of each semifinal will be difficult, seeing as we don't know the seeding but in the spirit of even more fun we will pick eight sprinters who we think will make the final.

Prediction of Finalist: Gabby Thomas, Cambrea Sturgis, Allyson Felix, Tamara Clark, Anavia Battle, Kynnedy Flannel, Lynna Irby, Dezrea Bryant

Your top three who will qualify for the Olympic team will be:

1. Gabby Thomas, 2. Cambrea Sturgis and 3. Tamara Clark

Now that we got our predictions out of the way, it will be exciting to see how well these talented ladies do. Can you believe we picked three finalists and one of them is not named Allyson Felix? If the 35-year-old star finds a way to win the competition we will not be surprised. She knows all the tricks to overcome any obstacle that may come her way. However, in this 200 meters we are going to go with the young guns as Thomas, 24, Sturgis, 22 and Clark 22, will do their best sprinting under the bright lights Saturday night and go on to represent their country in the Olympics.
