There is no denying the fact that cricketers undergo a tough life, especially in India, as they get more attention than anywhere in the world. Cricket, as we all know, is the lifeline in this country and its players are always in the news for a plethora of reasons, good or bad. Fortunately or unfortunately, everything a cricketer receives criticism for either personal or professional reasons.

This sometimes makes their life difficult, but being the flag-bearer of such a happening sport in the country, these are the few things they have to deal with. A person next door marrying twice or thrice might not be a big deal, but a cricketer ringing the wedding bells for the second time is quite a hot topic. Here are five famous personalities from the cricketing fraternity who managed to get hitched multiple times:

1 Imran Khan

Arguably one of the greatest cricketers to have played for Pakistan, Imran Khan was an inspirational leader who took Pakistan to their first and only World Cup win in 1992. He first married Jemima Goldsmith and it lasted for 9 years. After the couple decided to part ways, he married Libyan journalist Reham Khan, but the relationship latest for just 9 months. He recently tied the knot for the third time with Bushra Manek but she has been reportedly gone back to her maternal home accusing Imran of domestic violence.

2 Dinesh Karthik

This definitely one of the most famous stories in the Indian cricketing fraternity. Dinesh Karthik married his childhood friend Nikita Vanjara in 2007 and when Nikita was pregnant in 2012, he found out that his wife is having an affair with his Tamil Nadu teammate Murali Vijay, which led to the couple getting divorced.

A year after Karthik got separated from Nikita, and Dinesh Karthik ended up finding another life partner in Deepika Pallikal, an Indian Squash superstar. The couple got married in 2015 and are leading a happy life.

3 Brett Lee

One of the fastest bowlers the world has ever seen, Brett Lee troubled a lot of batsmen over teh years with his fierce pacer and metronomic accuracy. Lee and Elizabeth Kemp got married to each other in 2006 and the couple had a son as well. But their relationship eventually ended in 2009, as they got divorced. Rumors floated that Kemp was allegedly in a relationship with a Brisbane Rugby player during their marriage.

Lee had to combat extended periods of loneliness and he had to stay away from his son as well due to cricketing commitments. He later married Lana Anderson in 2014 and the couple is blessed with a girl. His name was also attached to the actress of the movie Unindian Tannishtha Chatterjee after their steamy scenes surfaced.

4 Shoaib Malik

The veteran Pakistan cricketer, Shoaib Malik was married to another girl before marrying Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza. He was married to a girl named Ayesha Siddique in 2002, but their relationship ended in a few years time. Malik later fell in love with Sania, which flamed quite a lot of controversies. Despite receiving some backlash over marrying an Indian woman, Malik and Sania dealt with the situation brilliantly and the couple recently got blessed with a kid as well.

5 Mohammad Azharuddin

Mohammad Azharuddin’s career has never been low on controversies, his matrimonial life is one of them. He married Naureen and the couple had two kids. But their relation started to fall apart with the entrance of actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Sangeeta Bijlani and Azharuddin got married in 1996 after getting separated from Naureen. After that, Azharuddin was said to be in a relationship with Badminton star Jwala Gutta.
