The Legendary Trayvon Lathan

Trayvon Lathan is an American basketball player who has made a difference in society and in his very own community. Lathan is a three time champ for the Tijuana Zonkeys. He has succeeded to the top in all aspects. Lathan has touched so many lives in so many ways and still continues to better the lives of so many individuals.

Trayvon graduated from Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, Virginia. He also graduated from Chowan University. Later he moved to Santa Barbara, California and started working out with Paul Pierce, the late Kobe Bryant, and Hall of Fame member Fred Vinson. Lathan played for the Santa Barbara Beakers and earned the Rookie of the Year honors. In 2009 Trayvon helped the Los Angeles to an IBL Championship and afterward he went overseas. Lathan has traveled all over the world. He was named a CBL All-Star in 2013-2014 with the Moncton Miracles. His success with the CBL landed Lathan in the Mexican Basketball League. The Mexican Basketball League is the largest basketball league in the country. He played ball overseas for eleven seasons. He played in China, Lebanon, Taiwan, Canada, Germany, Barbados, and Mexico. Trayvon played for five years in the LNBP for the Zonkeys. Trayvon helped the Zonkeys get three consecutive titles. He also earned League MVP honors in his last two seasons. Lathan claimed his LNBP Title after he retired in 2018. He is still actively traveling up and down the East Coast helping younger players achieve their dreams.He believes in helping others make their dreams become a reality.

Trayvon is a proud business owner in his hometown. He is the proud co-owner of Lathan Demolition and Landscaping.

Lathan has given back to different communities throughout his basketball career. Even after retiring he gives back to communities and organizations. Trayvon still holds training camps to help children who have a interest in basketball. He has his very own Tray5 Ball Training camp. Trayvon retired from the Tijuana Zonkeys. He retired in 2018 and came out in style.

It was an honor to have met Trayvon Lathan. I’ve always seen basketball players on tv but never in person. Trayvon Lathan is not just about business. He shows that he cares about others. He has a go get positive attitude. I enjoy seeing people making a difference in their community and around the world. It’s always grateful to have people like Trayvon making a difference. He continues blazing the trails. He is a positive role model. Anybody can look up to him. We all should be positive and productive individuals as Lathan is. Lathan is still living his all American Dream. He is a star!

Live your life to the fullest. Do what you dreamed of doing in life. Always strive hard to make things happen. You can do it. We all can do it. We all need to set our mind right. Keep our eyes on the prize. Just stay focused and persistent. Don’t let fear make you miss your gifts in life’s journey. Always make sure you have the right attitude because that is the first thing people will see. Life is what you make it.

Trayvon Lathan made it all the way to the top and so can you! Lathan is the perfect example for young boys and girls. It shows them they can become a basketball player. It also gives them the courage to pursue any career. We need more individuals like Trayvon to step out and encourage the generations to come.
