Texas Rangers Stuff...So Far

Highlighting some of my favorite items as a die-hard fan

By Mark Wesley Pritchard Published 6 months ago • 3 min read

August will mark 25 years as a die-hard fan of the Texas Rangers. A quarter century of supporting a team that went through the highs and lows is the true definition of what a real baseball fan is. Back in February, I took a vacation to my hometown of Arlington, Texas, a place that I haven't stepped foot on in nearly 15 years. I may live in another state, but Arlington will always be my true home. I'll always be a Texan first, regardless of where I'm residing. During the two days I was down there, I took part of a premium tour at Globe Life Field. The tour guide showed us everything from a mural of Arlington Stadium to a plethora of memorabilia from the Rangers 2023 World Series run and first title in franchise history. It lasted for an hour and a half and for the last half hour, we went onto the field. It was an amazing experience, as it was the first time I've stepped foot onto an MLB field. The kids played catch and I had an excellent time on that tour. I would highly recommend any Rangers fan to take a tour of Globe Life Field.

In this story, I'll highlight some of my favorite Rangers related items I own. Some of you might have seen at least one of more of the Rangers items I own in previous stories. In case you haven't, here are a few of them.

Back in February, I took my first vacation in nearly 15 years. That place was my hometown of Arlington, Texas. It had been a long time since I visited home. During my second and final day down there, I took part in a premium srtadium tour of Globe Life Field, the home of the Texas Rangers. It lasted for an hour and a half and ended at the Grand Slam Team Store, where they sell jerseys, hats, and so much more. I bought this amazing red Pudge Rodríguez t-shirt there and I loved it. As for the red Texas Rangers hat, I bought that last year on eBay. These two items go well together.

Just like the aforementioned Rangers hat, I bought this nice Nolan Ryan t-shirt on eBay. I wore it one Friday at work, because in case you didn't know, I wear Rangers gear every Friday to the office. Once fact about Nolan Ryan that I recently found out that in spite of the seven no-hitters he recorded during his legendary career, he never won a Cy Young award. I have a section on a wall in my living room with pictures of the Hall of Famer.

These two items were bought as birthday gifts to myself. 2023 was a great year for two reasons: the Rangers won their first World Series title on November 1, and I would celebrate my birthday 12 days later. My team gave me the best early birthday gift by finally winning a championship. The rally towel and pennant were from Fanatics. I've since added more World Series related items on my living room wall.

I bought a Texas Rangers backpack before Christmas of 2023, and I wanted to add patches on there. eBay has always been my go-to place whenever I want to buy Rangers stuff. I decided on these two patches to add to my backpack. I've since added a 2024 MLB All-Star Game patch (not pictured) on there and numerous pins.

Before the 2024 MLB regular season began, I bought this nice Rangers Cooperstown hat. I loved everything about it and still have this hat. Twice a year, I would buy a Rangers hat because they range anywhere from $35 to upwards of $55. The final item on this list is currently my favorite hat I love wearing, so here it is.

Witnessing my own team winning their first World Series title was a great moment I enjoyed back in 2023. Two years ago, I bought this World Series hat. When your team wins a World Series title, gold-inspired gear is released and sold. I have eight Rangers hats in total, and I recently wrote a story on here about 59Fifty hats. If you're seeking to buy your very first hat, the link to the full story will be down below. Since retiring from cosplay in 2024, collecting Rangers hats has been one of my hobbies. There will be a second part to this story in the near future, so be on the lookout for that.
