Shadab Khan signed one-year contract

Shadab Khan, a Pakistani leg spinner, has signed with the Melbourne Renegades in addition to joining the Sydney Sixers, who had won the Big Bash League on two consecutive occasions. In order to be ready for the remainder of the regular season, Khan must be cleared by his doctor (BBL).

Due to player’s injury Sixers recruited Shadab Khan

Following Ben Manenti's season-ending neck stress fracture and tweaked Steve O'Keefe's short-term calf injury, the Sixers have recruited Shadab as an international player to improve their bowling assault. Shadab will be the Sixers' third foreign player. Without missing out on a single Twenty20 International match, he has appeared in 64 Twenty20 International matches for Pakistan, taking 73 wickets at an economy rate of 7.11 in those 64 matches. While still a youngster, he made his international debut for his country in all three disciplines. The fact that he is swinging the bat results in his having a good batting average of 18.33 and a strike rate of 136.81, both of which are terrific figures.

While playing for the Brisbane Heat during the middle of the BBL|07 season, Shadab took two wickets in each of his three appearances, matching his season-high total for the campaign. At the time, he was a member of the Miami Heat.

Sixers Head Coach stated his excitement

Sixers head coach Greg Shipperd stated his excitement at the potential of working with Shadab in answer to a query about how he felt about the prospect of working with him.

"As part of our efforts to replace the bowlers who have left us, Shadab has joined our squad to provide a helping hand. The basis of our new bowling attack is composed of him, along with two other young and promising spinners, Lloyd Pope and Todd Murphy. While still in the process of learning, they have already shown on a number of occasions that they have the potential to become world-class athletes in their respective sports despite the fact that they are still learning." When questioned about the issue, he opened up and expressed his thoughts and feelings with the interviewer.

"We are looking forward to seeing him gain some playing time in the upcoming matches," Shadab's coach remarked, expressing his surprise at Shadab's ability to thrive in all three aspects of the game.
