Before getting into what is next let us go over who Paul said he learned more from than anyone else on the job, doing so as he settled into the role of announcer for several WCW programs.

Learning alongside quite possibly the best wrestling announcer of all time, the great JR or Jim Ross, while also learning what would or could peak the interest of the loyal fans.

This period of time allowed him to learn the ropes of how doing the television shows. So side by side with good ol' J R as his wrestling professor of class.

He was able to be taught little behind the scenes things of how to keep the wrestlers on their toes. While also seeing what failed to connect with the fans to help the organization last.

So in 91' when WCW decided to re structure it's heels he returned to role of manager, aloud to run his own crew of villians', bad guys, or heels as they are labeled.

So the 'Dangerous Alliance' was created and built upon chaotic damagers, with the underappreciated Rick Rude as the center of this fabulous stable.

He led Rude to the US title with Stunning Steve Austin winning the TV belt, also adding tag team gold with the Enforcer Arn Anderson and Beautiful Bobby Eaton. RIP

Plus the technical genius of Larry Zybysko, whose MMA background meaning his shots were always felt, his faction dominated WCW through most of 92' capturing all the gold while handing out beating after beating.

Shortly after departimg WCW he attempted to start a new promotion in state of Texas, wanting to partner with old friend Jim Crockett to build this new orginization.

However differences in philosophy plus direction of the upstart company brought a quick halt to this, Crockett wanting the traditional style while Heyman wanting to shake up the status quo, bunch of innovations.

So onto Philly and what was then known as Eastern Championship Wrestling owned by local pawn shop owner Todd Gordon, where his long time friend Eddie Gilbert at the time was over creative as well as head booker.

Bringing Heyman in to teach the younger talent how to do interviews plus perform, so once Gilbert's erratic behavior became to much he was left in the dust like an onlooker.

As a matter of fact it was right before the Ultra Clash on Saturday, Sep 18, 1993, from that point on he was in charge of creative direction for the company.

Of course still managing a few wrestlers at the time, with 911 and Sabu being the cream of the heap, so not suprisingly with Heyman at the helm in few years ECW was the place to be.

Now the flag ship show for the strugglling NWA company just barely holding on, so when a world title tournament was to be held in August of 94'.

Naturally Paul and his ECW wanted to host the finals for new NWA Heavyweight Champion to be crowned, especially if proposed outcome was his guy The Franchise Shane Douglas winning the chip, he been ECW champ before.

What was not known by anyone involved was plan concocted by a Mr. Paul Heyman, with only him, Todd Gordon, and The Franchise knowing what was in store.

So after winning the title tournament The Franchise started going through with their master plan, in what would become what Paul wanted from everyone employed on his eccentric roster.

He allowed any wrestler to get on the mic and just be totally honest, but on this particular night Douglas promo was on a whole nother level.

He and by extension ECW itself laid into the NWA with no regards to the cost, degrading their 'tradition' and burying the 'dead orginization' with the ECW belt, a gold shovel.

This would lead to what became known as the land of extreme, for good reason to since most matches were under ECW rules.

Which in normal terms means pretty much no holds barred once the bell rings, and through this process was able to catch a few jewels.
