Shaw routs Parma 54-0 for biggest win margin of the season

Shaw had a lot of great moments during its historic football season in 1989. It was probably the best defensive team in the history of the school as Shaw had six shutouts during the season. This mention, however is about the offense as Quandon Mango scored three of the 16 touchdowns that he had that season against Parma.

The scoring started with an 87-yard touchdown from Lance Houston, before Mango the game's next three touchdowns. DeAndree Houston caught a touchdown for 22 yards from quarterback Byron Bolden before Shaw scored on 47-yard run from Damon Lambert.

The defense managed to put some points up as well when Rahmeel Carr interecpeted a pass and returned it for 34 yards. The final touchdown of the day came when David Brown scored on a 36-yard rush. Oh, and let's give kicker Richard Fells some love as he made five-of-seven extra point attempts.

Located in East Cleveland, Ohio, Shaw High School has one of the most long lasting but underappreciated sports histories in all of the United States.

From being the only school in the state of Ohio to have a stadium that hosted actual NFL games to all of the athletes from the 1800's to the present that have gone on to lead productive lives and make history along the way, Shaw sports has a decorated past that most schools could only wish to own.
