NFL Draft 2026 Review: Buffalo Bills
Will the choking ever end?
Last season, the Buffalo Bills (12-5) had one of their best chances to reach the Super Bowl due to the Kansas City Chiefs not even being in the NFL Playoffs. However, their choking ways did not end after Buffalo had five turnovers in a 33-30 OT loss to the Denver Broncos to end their season.
Hopefully, the ways of the Bills not getting over the hump ends this upcoming season with a fresh outlook. Buffalo hired offensive coordinator Joe Brady to be the new head coach along with the Bills playing in a new stadium. Leaving the past behind could be Buffalo's best option because this franchise should have already won a Super Bowl during the 90's, but they experienced losses in four straight Super Bowls.
Moving forward, the Bills organization prepared for the move into the new stadium with 10 picks in this year's NFL Draft.
Round 2, Pick 3: T.J. Parker - DE - Clemson. 6'3", 263 lbs. (37 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 1 pass deflection, 3 fumble recoveries).
Parker adds to the pass-rushing depth for the Bills along with Greg Rosseau and Bradley Chubb. More depth is needed because nobody had double-digit sacks for the team last season.
Round 2, Pick 30: Davison Igbinosun - CB - Ohio State. 6'2", 189 lbs (53 tackles, 2 INT).
Igbinosun is a tall corner that will add depth at corner and will help against taller wide receivers. More depth is needed because nobody had more than 3 interceptions for the Bills last season.
Round 4, Pick 2: Jude Bowry - OT - Boston College. 6'5", 314 lbs.
Bowry adds depth at offensive tackle.
Round 4, Pick 25: Skyler Bell - WR - Connecticut. 5'11", 192 lbs (101 rec, 1278 yds, 12.7 yds/rec, 13 TD.
Bell is a versatile receiver that can line up either outside or in the slot. Bell adds to the WR depth along with the acquisition of DJ Moore. Hopefully, Bell will not be thrown under the bus by Buffalo GM Brandon Beane.
Round 4, Pick 26: Kaleb Elarms-Orr - LB - TCU. 6'2", 234 lbs (130 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 pass deflections).
Elarms-Orr is a productive tackler and has the capability to make plays all over the field. He will add depth at inside linebacker and at nickel linebacker.
Round 5, Pick 27: Jalen Kilgore - S - South Carolina. 6'1", 210 lbs (54 tackles, 2 INT, 10 pass deflections, 2 fumble recoveries).
Kilgore will add depth up the middle in the defensive backfield. He is real good at breaking up passes against tall WR's and TE's.
Round 5, Pick 41: Zane Durant - DT - Penn State. 6'1", 290 lbs (25 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1 INT, 2 pass deflections).
Durant could see some time on pass-rushing downs along the defensive line.
Round 7, Pick 4: Toriano Pride, Jr. - CB - Missouri. 5'10", 185 lbs (24 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 2 INT, 1 INT returned for TD, 4 pass deflections, 1 fumble recovery).
Pride adds depth at corner. He will be given time to develop because he ran the fastest 40 time at the NFL Combine for a cornerback at 4.32 seconds.
Round 7, Pick 23: Tommy Doman - P - Florida. 6'4", 214 lbs (50 punts, 44 yds/punt).
Doman will vie for the starting punter position. What stood out about Doman last season was an average of 4.5 seconds hang time on every punt, which led the FBS. Plus, 17 of his punts ended up inside the 20, which is around a third of his punts.
Round 7, Pick 25: Ar'maj Reed-Adams - OG - Texas A&M. 6'6", 314 lbs.
Reed-Adams adds depth to the interior of the offensive line.
Overview: The Bills really did not have a pressing need after addressing their two major needs by acquiring Chubb and Moore, so adding team depth from this Draft worked out great for the Bills. Buffalo really just needs to stop giving away games in the postseason. Grade: C+.
