NFL 2026 Draft Review: Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens (8-9) were so close to winning the AFC North Division last season, but they lost the winner-take-all game to the Pittsburgh Steelers on the last day of the regular season.
However, Baltimore can still look back at last season with some optimism after starting the season 1-5 and with QB Lamar Jackson missing four games during the middle of the season.
Nevertheless, the team needs to fill some holes so that they do not end up in a rut like last season. Without further ado, let us take a look at who the Ravens selected in this year's NFL Draft.
Round 1, Pick 14: Olaivavega Ioane - G - Penn State. 6'4", 320 lbs.
Ioane started at guard for the Nittany Lions over the past three seasons where his strength was blocking on run plays. He will slot in immediately as a starter for Baltimore at one of the guard positions along the offensive line.
Round 2, Pick 13: Zion Young - DE - Missouri. 6'6", 262 lbs (42 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, 2 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles).
Young is relentless on every play as witnessed by his 16.5 tackles for loss last season. He faced plenty of double-teams last season which explains why his sacks total was lower than expected. He will be contending for a starting job at one of the defensive end spots.
Round 3, Pick 16: Ja'Kobi Lane - WR - USC. 6'4", 200 lbs (49 rec, 745 rec yds, 15.2 yds per catch, 4 TD).
Lane is an absolute force in the red zone due to his height. Two seasons ago, Lane had 12 touchdowns. He should see plenty of time during the season especially when the Ravens get past the 50.
Round 4, Pick 15: Elijah Sarratt - WR - Indiana. 6'2", 210 lbs (65 rec, 830 yds, 12.8 yds per catch, 15 TD).
Sarratt should also be in on a lot of plays at receiver during the season as well because he is a threat to score every time that he touches the ball. He excels at catching balls over the middle or down the field in one-on-one situations with cornerbacks.
Round 4, Pick 33: Matthew Hibner - TE - SMU. 6'4", 251 lbs (31 rec, 436 yds, 14.1 yds per catch, 4 TD).
Hibner will be competing to be the second or third TE on the roster. He is effective at running routes and at run blocking.
Round 5, Pick 22: Chandler Rivers - CB - Duke. 5'9", 185 lbs (59 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2 INT, 8 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble).
Rivers could see some time as a backup cornerback or at nickel back due to his cover skills and due to his support on the run.
Round 5, Pick 33: Josh Cuevas - TE - Alabama. 6'3", 245 lbs (37 rec, 411 rec yds, 11.1 yds per catch, 4 TD).
Cuevas could also see some time on passing downs for the Ravens.
Round 5, Pick 34: Adam Randall - RB - Clemson. 6'3", 232 lbs (168 rushes, 814 yds, 4.8 yds per rush, 10 rush TD, 36 rec, 254 yds, 7.1 yds per rec, 3 TD, 213 return yds).
Randall will compete to see some time as a backup RB and as a short-yardage RB. He will also compete for time as a returner as well.
Round 6, Pick 30: Ryan Eckley - P - Michigan State. 6'1", 200 lbs (49 punts, 48.5 yds per punt).
Eckley should be in line to be the new starting punter for Baltimore. He had plenty of practice punting while being the starting punter for the Spartans over the past three seasons (147 punts in three years).
Round 7, Pick 34: Rayshaun Benny - DT - Michigan. 6'3", 298 lbs (35 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 2 pass deflections, 1 fumble recovery).
Benny adds depth at defensive tackle.
Round 7, Pick 37: Evan Beerntsen - OG - Northwestern. 6'3", 301 lbs.
Beerntsen adds depth to the interior of the offensive line.
Summary: Baltimore addressed plenty of weaknesses in this year's draft. The Ravens added depth to the middle of the offensive line, at WR, at TE, and along the defensive line. Only 1 Raven WR had more than 500 yards receiving and no Raven had more than 5 sacks. Addressing these areas were absolutely necessary. Also, drafting tall WR's and TE's were a must because Jackson tends to overthrow receivers a little too much for Baltimore's liking. Grade: C+.
