What a happy day it is!

It’s about ‘damn’ time.

This video has been a long time coming.

Other than ESPN ‘First Take’ Host Stephen A. Smith, Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks has ‘officially’ called out Kyrie Irving.

According to First Take, the panel (Stephen A. Smith, Molly, and J. Will) discussed Sean Marks’ comments about the future of the Brooklyn Nets and setting a standard for the Nets’ culture.

Here is what Sean Marks had to say during his press conference:

“There’s an objective and there is a goal at stake here. To do that, we’re gonna need availability from everybody. You know, we’re looking for guys that wanna come in here and be part of something bigger than themselves. Play selfless, play team basketball and be available. That goes not only for Kyrie but for everybody here.”

The keyword during the entire statement that Marks mentioned multiple times is ‘available’. The word ‘available’ has been the main topic the entire last season. Sean Marks said, “enough is enough”.

All Kyrie had to do is suck it up and take the vaccine, for better or for worse. Play at least 60–70 games and make it to the top 3 seed or higher in the East. Develop chemistry on and off the court. No subliminals or gaslighting comments surround the franchise. Days off needed for back-to-back games. Lastly, take a rest when injured, not just to have a day off.

As a result, with a healthy and ‘available’ Kyrie, along with the same roster presently constructed in full health, this team would’ve won the title this year. So, you are telling me that Kyrie left LeBron James and join your boy Kevin Durant to win one playoff series?

These are the key factors that weren’t on Kyrie’s mind.

In the show, Stephen A. Smith brought up something that we all knew but didn't see through it. Kyrie has a 'privilege' behavior and acts like he is the greatest showman on the face of this earth. Nobody can say anything to him as long as he projects the last word. This attitude of 'I know I am good at basketball, so don't take my craft for granted' complex is what throws people like Smith and others off.

As Smith said before, Kyrie has a good heart, spectacular, box office, and sensational. However, when Kyrie returns and puts on an absolute show for you to see, he plays whenever or anytime he sees fit. Smith said it best, 'they should feel privileged to see me play and that is how he behaves daily.

As J. Will mentioned in First Take, the 'only person who needs to reinforce this situation, is Kevin Durant' and he is right. Let me remind you all of how important KD is to the Nets franchise. KD is the face of the franchise. KD has the influence to help make changes in Brooklyn and keep his teammates accountable. The only person he can't seem to correct and chat with about this serious issue is his 'friend' Kyrie.

Takeaways

As someone in charge of a franchise or company, you need people who are going to be available for the long haul. That means working 9–5 or any schedule is given by your employer. You have to arrive on time, either 5 or 10 minutes before starting work. Be prepared to receive criticism from customers online or in person. Most of all, be grateful you have a job. It's the character that defines a person.

Don't be like Kyrie and rob your fans or customers of your time. It is our duty as citizens to commit to our jobs, whether they its full or part-time. At the end of the day, is your approach to life's circumstances and growth that will catapult you to greater heights.

Be available.

What do you guys think about Sean Marks 'possibly' moving on from Kyrie Irving?
