The game of basketball has evolved greatly over the past decade with 3-point shooting becoming essential to the game. Here is the list of the top five highest 3-point shooters in NBA 2K23.

1. Steph Curry

Seeing Steph Curry's name atop the list shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. The four-time NBA champion has been dominant with his 3PT shooting in the regular season and playoffs, winning the three-point contest twice in 2015 and 2021. He's the NBA all-time leader in 3-pointers with a 42.8% career shooting percentage from beyond the arc. As such, he is rewarded with the highest possible rating in the game and comes equipped with a whole host of shooting badges that should have him draining buckets all game long. 2. Derrick Walton Jr.

Derrick Walton is currently a free agent within a game, though he does play in Australia for Sydney Kings as a point guard. Despite having the second-highest outside scoring rating in the entire game, Walton rarely played in the NBA until his last season in 2021-22, where he averaged 36.0 minutes per game. In NBA 2K23, Walton has a three-point rating of 89. But he's not very good at anything else. His overall rating in NBA 2K23 is 69, with his defending and inside scoring being notable liabilities. Nevertheless, he deserves a spot on this list.

3. Desmond Bane

• Team: Memphis Grizzlies

Desmond Bane is a 6 foot 5 shooting guard with a solid outside range that has helped him land the NBA All-Rookie Second Team inclusion in 2021. Bane is entering his third year in the NBA, shooting 43.5 percent from behind the line. In the 2021-2022 season, he averaged 18.2 points and had a 46 percent field goal percentage while averaging 18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists a game. Out of qualifying players, Bane ranked second in three-point percentage with 43.6 percent. Bane's three-point rating within the game is 88.

4. Luke Kennard

• Team: LA Clippers

The Luke Kennard product came into the league as a shooting specialist and has only grown that reputation during his career. He led the NBA in three-point shooting percentage in 2021-2022 at 44.9 percent, more than a full percentage point ahead of Bane. Kennard also averaged 11.9 points and shot 89 percent from the free-throw line. Bane's three-point rating within the game is 88. He is a prototypical shooter who, in our experience, has a very easy jump shot to master.

5. Klay Thompson

• Team: Golden State Warriors

Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors is another player that needs no intro. Like Curry, he is a four-time NBA champion and won the three-point contest in 2016. Thompson is a five-time NBA all-star, and last season scored 20.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists a game and shot 90 percent from the free throw line. He shot 38.5 percent from three (due to injury). Within NBA 2K23, he has a three-point rating of 88. Like his teammate, he has a host of shooting badges that make him a lock to score from range.
