SUNDAY GAMES @ 1:00

BRONCOS VS FALCONS

PREDICTION: 24-14

I picked against the Falcons last week, and lost. But I’m going to do it again. I really don’t think they pick up two wins two weeks in a row, and this Broncos team, who had a rough out-of-the-gate schedule playing the Titans, Steelers and the Buccaneers, are in a rhythm. They’re 3-1 in their last 4 games, that loss coming to the Chiefs.

PANTHERS VS CHIEFS

PREDICTION: 10-34

This is a damage control game. The Panthers need to get an offensive rhythm going, however, even if they do, they’re not beating the Chiefs. And unfortunately this game is probably not going to be pretty.

LIONS VS VIKINGS

PREDICTION: 27-31

This will be a good game. Both teams have no trouble putting up points, and both have a lot of trouble conceding them. I think the Vikings edge the Lions out. They’re coming off a big game against the Packers and they’re flying high. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lions get the W.

GIANTS VS WASHINGTON

PREDICTION: 21-24

The Giants are fairly unpredictable. There’s no sense to the madness... They compete against the Steelers and the Bucs and limit them to under 27 points, then turn around and let the Cowboys score 37 points on them. I think they lose to Washington in this away game. But it’ll be close.

TEXANS VS JAGUARS

PREDICTION: 27-17

These two teams met in week 5 and I think we’ll see a similar result. I personally have no trust in the Jaguars organization these days. The Texans have had one of the hardest schedules in the league, playing the Chiefs, Ravens and the Steelers in the first 3 games and the Titans and Green Bay in the last two. And in all of that Deshaun has thrown 15 TD’s to 5 INT’s with a 108.7 passer rating.

RAVENS VS COLTS

PREDICTION: 34-27

The Ravens get back to winning ways this week. Lamar needs a good win to get his confidence back and I think he does. On the other end the Colts shouldn’t give up in this game. If they can get in Lamar’s head early, he had an awful game last week and they can capitalize on that.

BEARS VS TITANS

PREDICTION: 27-21

If the Bears did their homework they will see that this Titans team is VERY beatable. It doesn’t matter if Henry breaks a couple runs and hits a hundred yards rushing. As long as you contain him at the right moments and make Tannehill throw in key situations you can beat the Titans. If they didn’t do their homework it could flip the score easy, because the Titans are desperate, surely, for a win this week.

SEAHAWKS VS BILLS

PREDICTION: 31-20

I really do think this is a game where the Seahawks can show off their dominance and scare some teams. The Bills have neither the offense or the defense to make this competitive. They win all the games they should and lose the big ones. They haven’t exactly impressed me enough to call this upset. But it would be very impressive if they won.

SUNDAY GAMES @ 4:00-4:30

RAIDERS VS CHARGERS

PREDICTION: 31-24

The Chargers have choked games. They can’t close games out and the Raiders do a great job at sticking around in games they have no business sticking around in. The Chargers need to find a way to finish games and hold leads. If it’s a player problem they might win this game. If it’s a coaching problem... Could be lengthy.

STEELERS VS COWBOYS

PREDICTION: 30-7

A lot of people are calling this a trap game. When I think of a trap game, I have to see appropriate weapons on the underdog team. Maybe an underperforming team that’s had a hard time of it. When I look at the Cowboys I see an awful defense, a crippled offense and an unimpressive coaching team. This is not a team that is capable of beating the Pittsburgh Steelers.

DOLPHINS VS CARDINALS

PREDICTION: 28-16

The Cardinals are coming off a bye looking for all appearances the better football team. They do not have a lot of tape to go off of with this Tua offense. This is a Cardinals team that lost to the Lions and the Panthers. They’re not invincible. I think they slack off here, coming off their win against Seattle and lose this game.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: SAINTS VS BUCCANEERS

PREDICTION: 27-28

I almost always pick the better defense in these type of matchups, so the Bucs are my pick. The Saints beat the Bucs earlier this year. I wouldn’t be overly surprised if they did it again because I saw a lot of mistakes from Tampa last week. Ultimately, I don’t see Tampa losing this game so I had to put them on top.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: PATRIOTS VS JETS

PREDICTION: 24-14

This may be the worst Monday night football game we see in a while. I hope the Pats use this game as a practice game. Move things around, try new offensive tactics. I have a lot of hope that the Jets go 16-0 this year. But if they win against anyone, it’s going to be the Pats.
