Injured LeBron may be out of the game, but as for the MVP race he's still in.

There's always going to be a case for the Wolverine

If you could not tell how valuable the 4 times Season MVP winner, the 4 times Final MVP winner was before, you're definitely going to realize that now.

It's more than the half of a short season, and the league has been dealing with injuries. Most will say bad luck plays a big part which is true, but to me it's mostly because of how quickly they brought in a brand new season after a very short break. His team was scheduled to play many back to back games in just a week .

The 2019-2020 Championship had just won by the Los Angeles Lakers, led by it's Final MVP LeBron whom has been known by so many as The Greatest Player Of All Time. A lot would argue this title belongs to Michael Jordan , but not me. I believe the injured superstar is the better player because he had to do more with less. His team still heavily depends on him even at age 36, in year 18.

The MVP race had just begun to heat up as things got very much interesting between the most valuable player candidate from the eastern conference named Joel Embidd and of course the King himself who plays in the Western conference. Then sadly, that battle took a wild turn, they are both out the game.

Not completely out of the race, well at least LeBron is still proving his value to his team because Lakers look like the worst team in the league without him, while the Sixers, the team that is led by Embiid has blown out many of their opponents whether he plays or not. Of course Joel Embiid is valuable, just not the MOST when comparing to King James.

Damian Lillard, Nicholas Jokic, and Stephen Curry are some other canditates on my list , especially Lillard whose team has the highest record between the three while his Robin, CJ and other key teammates were out for a while. He managed to keep them in the playoff picture because of his high level performances, and clutch plays after clutch plays. He is arguadly the most clutch player the basketball game has ever had, and the second best shooting guard from a long distance besides Steph Curry in my opinion.

Depend on the length of the Injury, LeBron can still win the award because he had only missed just one game before he rolled his ankle. So I believe a few more missed games will not block his chances after I found out that he is out indefinitely, which can be for a short time as well. They just can't put a date on it yet.

When Lebron missed 17 straight games before because of his groin injury, he wasn't really playing for anything. He knew that it was going to be a waste of season with all his young teammates who had no playoff experience at all. So there really was no reason for him to come back to play. He could have had just stayed out to rest for the remainder of that season. Now that he has a chance to win, not only another championship, but also a 5th regular season MVP, the award he has not won in nearly a decade all because of past voters who got tired of picking him, he has something to play for.

During all his 18 seasons in the league, LeBron is not known as a player who keeps getting injured. Soon, he will return to bring the good chemistry back with his teammates, I meant after all he is the the league Wolverine.
