Nation's Top 60-Meter Hurdles Finishes

Imani Carothers, Georgia, 8.06, Jan. 29, 2021

Sophomore, Imani Carothers ran her personal best time in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.06, in a dominant win in a final that included Oregon's Emily Sloan (8.16) and Mississippi State's Rosealee Cooper (8.23). Carothers also grabbed a win at the Carolina Challenge finishing at 8.18 on Jan. 23, besting South Carolina's Destnee Rocker's time of 8.19 on her home track.

Chanel Brissett, Texas, 8.07, Jan. 22, 2021

Longhorn hurdler, Chanel Brissett edged out fellow senior, and former USC teammate Mecca McGlaston to claim the nation's second fastest time of the season. When Brissett competed for USC back in 2019 she was the outdoor and indoor conference champion in the 100 and 60 meter hurdles respectively. She also won the 100-meter hurdles in the 2018 outdoor season in the PAC 12. In 2020 she was the runner-up in the conference 60-meter hurdle finals during her final season at USC.

Grace Stark, Florida, 8.07, Feb. 5, 2021

Grace Stark also holds the number two spot in the nation at 8.07, when she outpaced a field that included North Carolina A&T hurdles ace Paula Salmon (8.21) at the South Carolina Invitational. As a freshman, Stark placed second in the SEC Indoor Championship final of the 60-meter hurdles. She ran a personal best time of 7.91 during that race.

Mecca McGlaston, USC, 8.08, Jan. 22, 2021

Mecca McGlaston rolled to a second place finish at the Wooo Pig Classic, when she ran a time of 8.08. In 2019, McGlaston was a member of the PAC-12 championship 400-meter relay team during the outdoor season. During the indoor season of 2019, she qualified for the final round of the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA championship meet.

Ackera Nugent, Baylor, 8.08, Jan. 23, 2021

Freshman Ackera Nugent has taken wins in the first two meets of her collegiate career. Her top time came at the Aggie Invitational when she won a final that included four seniors. One of those seniors was Kaylah Robinson of Texas A&M, who clocked in at 8.26. Nugent also won the Texas Tech Corky Classic when her time of 8.22 beat senior teammate Kennedy Bailey's time of 8.33.

Trishauna Hemmings, Clemson, 8.12, Jan. 29, 2021

Clemson senior Trishauna Hemmings earned a win on her home track at the Bob Pollock Indoor Invitational. She got past South Carolina's Destinee Rocker who finished at 8.15. A couple of weeks before that race, Hemmings ran the top prelim time of the Clemson Invite at 8.18. She didn't compete in the final round that day.

Destinee Rocker, South Carolina, 8.13, Jan. 29, 2021

Destinee Rocker's 8.13 is her personal best time and was second at the Bob Pollock Indoor Invitational. She won the Gamecock Opener, Jan. 16 with a time of 8.21.When she competed at Colorado State in 2019, Rocker won both the 60-meter and 100-meter hurdlers in the Mountain West Conference during the indoor and outdoor seasons respectively.

Milan Young, LSU, 8.14, Feb. 6, 2021

Senior Milan Young ran her top career time of 8.14, when she finished second at the Charlie Thomas Invitational. The LSU hurdler has won in the LSU Purple Tiger (8.17) and LSU Louisiana meets this season (8.18).

Emily Sloan, Oregon, 8.16, Jan. 29, 2021

Junior Emily Sloan's 8.16 runner-up finish at the Razorback Invitational is her best career time. Last season, she placed third at the MPSF Indoor Track & Field Championship 60-meter hurdles final.

Kaylah Robinson, Texas A&M, 8.16, Jan. 23, 2021

Texas A&M transfer Kaylah Robinson ran her top time during the prelim round of the Aggie Invitational. It was the best prelim finish, as Robinson placed second in the final at 8.26.
