Fulfillment by investing in women's track & field

Helping women's athletes become pros

A lot of people may not know this but we created Winners Only to report on women's athletics with a concentration on track and field and basketball. The biggest reason why we are doing this is to sponsor women's athletes who want to continue a post collegiate career without having to rely on major sponsorships that they may be unable to attain.

So far this year we have been able to sponsor a Canadian sprinter and jumper by the name of Jorden Savoury in her first three meets this year, covering her food, meet fees and lodging while she travels across her country in pursuit of becoming an Olympian in 2024.

When an athlete is not sponsored they have to pay for everything and often work one or two jobs in order to cover their expenses. The problem with that is they often sacrifice time in training that an athlete sponsored by Nike, Adidas, Under Armour or New Balance won't have to worry about because they are provided for financially.

We did a feature here for Vocal on a former sprinter at Ohio State named Chantel Ray who said, "First, I don't really tell people that I run track professionally unless I actually know them or they see me working out. It's a dream that I always wanted to pursue. The reality is that sometimes you have to work another job to finance yourself as you pursue this profession. It's not easy at all. There's been times where I wanted to quit or I think it's too hard but I know if I quit or gave up, then ... that's just not an option actually. It's a trillion times harder. You have no idea."

Her story can be read here:

On the Vocal platform we have been covering track and field since the 2019 season. This year we created a series called "Track & Field 2K21" which has covered the season since the return of the sport since COVID-19 shut much of it down in the United States. We are still in the process of covering the sport through that series as many of the athletes we have featured are currently in the US Olympic Trials. Along with our work on Vocal we created an app known as Track Stars which along with our articles on Vocal, help to support athletes financially. The app has free membership as we make money to fund athletes through ad monetization. We also have been able to monetize through TikTok and the podcasting app Anchor to help us with our cause as well. Another monetizing avenue has been Amazon Video as we made a short film about NCAA champion sprinter Kayla White. The Amazon Video opportunity however is drying up because it isn't as friendly to indie filmmakers since it's mainstream expansion. While our film about Kayla White was received well, Amazon randomly chose to delete our film from its catalog without explanation.

We are entirely sure that no other winner will use their prize to invest in others and contribute to the betterment of women's athletics. We believe that through investing in these women, we will be able to help them realize their ambitions of being pro athletes and this will result in girls seeing that becoming a professional athlete in the sport of track and field is a reality, with or without a major sponsor.

Your first prize will help us sponsor hundreds of athletes across the United States and Canada, however any prize will be helpful in our cause in investing our passion of helping people fulfill their goals.
