India is up against England on day one of the pink ball Test match against England. The visitors had toss on their end and decided to walk up the field with willow first. Though it looked like winning the toss would give great advantage to the team, India got off to great start right from beginning only. In the middle of England’s innings, an incident came up on the table when Virat Kohli was seen sharing a moment with Ben Stokes.

Stokes was on the crease and Ravi Ashwin was the man with the ball. While Ashwin was already up in his action before delivering, Stokes stopped him due to some reasons. He felt like some disturbance around and signaled it with his hands. During the same time, Indian skipper walked up to him and shouted ‘Come on yaar Ben.’

The third Test between the two nations is taking place with the pink ball and will be a day night affair. The match is getting staged at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad which has a whopping seating capacity of 1.3 Lakhs. The results of the match will play a significant role for both the teams as they will decide the second finalist of World Test Championship which would take place at Lord’s. New Zealand has already booked its berth for one of the final spots of the marquee event.

England struggling with the bat on day one of the game

Talking about the match, England is currently playing at 94 runs with the loss of seven wickets after 35overs. The top and the middle order of the visiting team came and went in no time and spinners again had the upper hand in the game. Zak Crawley so far made the maximum contribution with the bat as he scored 53 runs from his bat. A lot of expected from Joe and Ben Stokes but even they turned back without getting anything significant.

Talking about the bowling department of India, local boy Axar Patel bagged four wickets under his belt while Ravi Ashwin and Ishant Sharma have two and one respectively on their credit.

Twitterati In Splits After Virat Kohli Gave A Fiery Send-Off To Joe Root

The much-awaited Pink Test match between India and England kickstarted at the Motera Stadium (now Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium), which is the largest cricket stadium in the world.

Before the match kickstarted, England won the toss and chose to bat first. The Indian cricket team kickstarted the game with a bang as Axar Patel and Ishant Sharma joined hands to bring the England cricket team under pressure by picking two wickets early. Later, Indian bowlers trapped the touring party by spinning a web as the visitors lost four wickets in the first session itself.

England’s skipper Joe Root was one of the batsmen to depart, this time it was Ravi Ashwin. It happened on the 22nd of the day when R Ashwin pinned Root in front of the stumps. Though Root could’ve easily played the ball on the front foot but that wasn’t the case as Root failed to read the ball and later on he reviewed only out of hope.

Soon after Joe Root was given out, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is known for his flamboyant attitude stole all the limelight as he celebrated the wicket fiercely. While celebrating the wicket, he gave a fiery send-off to Joe Root by saying: “F**k off.”

Not just this, Kohli was so pumped up after the umpire gave Root out that he pulled off the iconic chainsaw celebration, which Brett Lee and Sourav Ganguly used to do during their playing days. The video of the same has gone viral on social media. Here, watch the video:
